TracyK called me this morning and I didn't understand a word she said. She talks funny. Everyone needs to be aware of that and ask her to talk really slowly.

LOL!

Michelle sounded just like I figured. I can hear her yelling at her kids or being sweet and polite at a PTA meeting. Very articulate!!

She mentioned Tracy had a really southern accent.

The only V numbers I don't have in my phone are the Tracy's. I am horrible at remember who is who (in any situation, not just this one). I will forever remember you are both Tracy, but for the life of me I will probably never remember your last names now.Tracy K. is not TracyinKS right? But one of you have 2 last names, and my head ESPLODES. So I'll be surprised by which one of you have the big southern drawl!

Well---I think I am finally out of here. All kinds of weather disasters. The barn flooded, so I had to deal with that....the road I need (Laura the turn in to Rio Rancho at 528) to go by, is flooding the hiway, and it is closed, while they clean sand and debris that flooded the roadway, up. Hoping by the time I get that far it is cleaned up, it just puts me hitting it at rush hour when I was doing my best to avoid that.....oh well!!!!

So I am off finally I think. I felt so organized this morning, now I feel scattered----and flustered, and I think I gave myself a hernia---seriously! My belly button HURTS to stand up straight or do anything. Not my stomach, but my belly button.....

Oh well if I did, I guess I did it at the right time!

I hung my clothes to wear tomorrow separately so I do not have to lug my big suitcase in to the hotel tonight----and almost left it hanging on the bedroom door!!! LOL-------I might get there with everything, but probably not!!!

See ya tomorrow! Will have my phone tonight, but no computer......

Off we go! Yeeee Haw!!!!!

Kat

Safe travels Kat!!

The roads around ABQ are a headache regardless, we use to live off of 40 near Route 66 Casino and they were FOREVER doing construction on the interstate, and every single parallel road in the city to get out there. So we spent hours in traffic when we lived 10 minutes from work.

SEE YOU TOMORROW )

I have a west coast accent...dude! Just kidding...I don't think I have one at all.

Regardless of your politics (not sure how ya'll feel) but gays can marry in California now!!! I teared up. This is huge for so many people...who are only guilty of loving someone! I am proud to be alive today!

This is a huge, huge day!! I'm very happy for all of you! Hello?! Welcome to the 21st century!!!
Laura, I expected you to have a really southern drawl, but you don't!

This IS going to be funny... putting voices & faces & mannerisms (I gesture w/my hands ALL THE TIME while I talk) together!!

I think I'll pour mine on extra thick for ya'll!!
It was probably TracyK...
ROFLMAO!!! :lol::lol:

I'm packing way too much. Too much food, too many shoes, and too many clothes. So stupid. I always do this.

I think I'll go to bed. I wake up at 4:00a every day anyway (an hour before my alarm!)....so I think I'll wrap up my packing then.

I wonder how Jenn's doing? I can only imagine!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
