Tracy, those are beautiful pictures! It looked so sunny and wonderful!

Pam - yes, you're right. He's never gonna change. We've been arguing about his tardiness for 13 yrs. Don't know why I think I can make him change that. He can't make me change about my messiness. He says the same thing to me, I'm like a cyclone. I leave a mess in my path all the time. I don't clean up after myself, I don't put stuff away...and he's slowly started to just accept that. I'm going to apologize right now about blowing up about it....

well if the slots are tight then heck no we won't be going! we like 'em lose!
The best slots I ever played have been at the 4 Queens downtown Las Vegas. Not the fanciest casino but clean and nice....and good gambling. I told a friend about it recently and so she and her BF went and had a blast there! She said they sat at the bar, had free drinks and played poker on the slots for 4 hours on about $30! They then went across the street to the Nugget and lost $60 in about a half hour.
I'm going to apologize right now about blowing up about it....
What a sweetie. Good plan, Haydee. I'm proud of you. Wheee!! Make-up sex!!! :):tt1::thumbup:

YES!! that's the best part about arguments, right?? Well I called him and I told him that I apologized about getting on him. I also told him that it took a huge weight off my chest to tell myself that I am "ok" with him never being on time. Now that I've told myself that I accept that characteristic about him next time it happens I can't fume about it because that's just him. One break through down, 50,000 to go... LOL

Great pics, Tracy.

Makes me want to kick myself though. The whole family was together for the graduation party and did we think to take a family photo? Nooooooooooooo!! :):thumbup:

I'm coming down with a cold. Figures when a big event is coming up. I'm doing the zicam so hopefully it will be ok by the weekend. Nothing stopping this old lady!!

Hi everyone...we are home!

Tracy-I got an e-mail for the Phase II....did you? I am kinda freaked out. Did you get one?

Yes we went to Lake Charles to LauBerge (sp?). Believe me...if we would not have gotten a free room offer we would not have gone either!! But...dh got one and so did I so we both booked the free rooms and brought my mom and step dad with us. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the beds are really comfortable. The pools are awesome but the part about the slots being tight is true. I mainly wanted to go for the pool and we brought Macy. She thought it was Cinderellas castle :wink2: Unfortunately TOM was VERY cruel and I could not get in the pool with all of them. I did not gamble cause I need to save every dime for our trip. It was still fun seeing macy have so much fun though.

Judy-I wish I would have heard my phone ringing!! I hate that I missed your call and YES you have the right number :)

Laura-I was going to call you but I did not have your number. I only had the original list and not the one Terri gave us. I thought about you though!

So much to say and so little time! I need to unpack and get ready for work tomorrow.

Ugh I am forgetting something and I can't remember what it is....I hate that!

Good night!

Well, I am home-------what a day!

First things first--I got flowers delivered this morning--which kind of puzzled me, I saw all the kids yesterday....but was happy anyway--opened the card and it said "Happy Grandma's Day!!! Love Abbey and Rhett" I thought to myself, well I just saw them, and they gave me a card, and a rose bush for the yard....and as I walked to the table it hit me---it said GRANDMA!!! They have no kids....yet....she is due in January!!! She went to the Dr. tried to get a confirmation to pass the word on Mothers Day, but they didn't get the blood test results til this morning. She has issues with urine tests, they ALL say positive! But she is pregnant----so she called her best friend and she happens to run a florists shop, so she spread the word that way so....I am gonna be a Granny again! I called her excited of course, and told her she had to tell her Dad, so she called and met him for lunch, and told him, he is so thrilled! I told him it would surprise me if over the next year or 2 we don't end up with 3 more--all 3 kids! Well 3 counting this one!! I am so happy!!! A new baby!!

Had a scare this morning at the PS. She brought my paperwork in to sign for release, and was telling me that BC/BS had not totally approved me, she still needed a pre auth, and they refused it, saying it would have to be submitted after the procedure. So I might end up paying for it. That sounded wrong, but I have everything required for them to pay so was not totally worried. Then she brings the papers, and they are all for a panniculectomy, not a full Tummy Tuck. I figure it may all be medical terminology so I ask about the muscle repair, and she said, no he wasn't doing the muscles, that insurance doesn't cover that as it is cosmetic. I double questioned her, and ask her to look back at my chart....nope.

Then she said the hospital did not have record of my blood work or my EKG from my thyroid surgery. So she made me do both of them again----which I expected anyway.

I was bumming over it all, when Belinda, the Dr.'s nurse called to tell me, that I was given erroneous information that insurance had approved the pre auth, with a $500.00 co pay. For both procedures combined. I ask "Both?" she said skin excision with Lipo, and muscle repair with lift, are considered 2 procedures, even though to get to one you have to do the other. I told her the girl said there was to be no muscle repair--she said Oh no, that is what this is all about! I was so relieved I about cried!!! So I ask her about his insistence with the steroids----she had him get on the line, he is supposed to think it over and call me back. Either way, I should be fine driving tomorrow, as I have not got on them yet! 13 hours round trip tomorrow, and I am dreading it more than I can tell you. I am scared to be unfilled, and not thrilled about my nighttime drive home through the mountains.

Anyway, went and had Lucy do my pedi----and picked up prescriptions for Rick, and dropped some things off to my sick brother (while trying not to breath!) and finally made it home.

Terry---I did want to say something, but hated to because technically they were people Rick knew.

In many ways, it is a cultural thing....the Navajos do not view family as we do....my nephews call all males on their Dads side Grandpa. There were a couple who did the same thing to us 3 years ago on Christmas Eve!!! Dropped by with family pictures, and just sat for hours---we were trying to get them to leave....no way!!! Rick and I wanted to "relax" under the tree!!! LOL Then last month on Easter the one guy who is always borrowing money, wanted Rick to drive to Farmington to loan him $20. There is no space respect.....they think they ARE family I guess. I am trying to let it go.

Like Haydee, I have to accept that Rick is too kind hearted to tell anyone they are not welcome to stay unless they DO something to make him. I hate it when these things happen, but at the same time his kind heart is one of the things I love most about him. So taking a lesson from Haydee---thanks Pamela too---I am letting it go, and thinking Rick is just nicer than me!!!

Gotta get dinner!

Kat

Oh my gosh, so much to do, so little time. I am now officially freaking out!!! I had my barium swallow, and the movement past my band was very very very slow. So maybe my problem is I am too tight? I will call Dr.s office tomorrow, but don't know if I can get an unfill if that is what the swallow shows. I am working long hours the next 3 days, and then when I come back I am busy at work for a few days, so it looks like after memorial day. I want/need sleep. We will see what they say tomorrow. I am crabby and behind.

Michelle -- How are the eyeballs??

Kat - SOOOO glad to hear that confusion about your surgery was cleared up!! You MUST have been in tears...not to mention confused! What a relief! I didn't know steroids was part of the protocol! Did the other girls on LBT that have had PS have steroids or is it something particular to your case?

Judy - Have you ever heard the thing about colds: 3 days coming, 3 days staying, 3 days going? That is really true, too!! I hope yours is just some pesky allergies...things are getting really green around there 'bout now arent they?

Mom's still in the hospital. I sure hope she gets out tomorrow. My sister says she has a staph infection and can't be around mom for the next few days! That does not help my situation at all. She said she gets this 'eruption' every so often. I asked if she takes antibiotics or what...and she said, "no it just runs it's course." I'm like thinking, "Huh?? For a staph infection???" Whatever!

I'm exhausted.... going to bed!!! WITH drugs even. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
