GOOD MORNING!!!!!!

Happy Bandversary Jenn!

Kat: geesh woman.. I hope you start feeling better!

Jane: Have a great day at work!!!!

Laura: 229, 229, 229 229!!! WHOOOHOOOOOOO!

Pam: Yeah DH would stab me with a fork if I tried to split a meal with him! LOL........ so I just order alacart or have left overs.

I am sooooooo sick of being stuck.. I hit ONEderland on 1/05/08.. and I keep bouncing from 189-192..... I think its time for me to start a traditional eating plan..... go into regular diet mode.. because obviously this last 30-40 lbs is not wanting to budge.. it is weird to think that I'm a mere 30ish pounds from goal.... surreal really.....

I can tell that my gut is getting mushy and deflated.. it is so weird.. it's like the fat is falling down and settling "down there" so much that a mons lift might be the only cure..... WIERD LOOKING.

Yesterday I wore a size 10 black levi capri, and then after work switched to a size 10 denim capri.. (both had a bit of stretch) but I felt victorious.. as those black levi capri are officially THE SMALLEST THING IN MY CLOSET PRE-BAND.. I got into them for uuuuhhhh a MINUTE the last time I lost weight... yet I was a good 15 lbs lighter than I am now.......... Today I am wearing a size 16 NONstretch Docker pant.. it is loose on the thighs but snug in the waist... go figure.... DH said my butt looked good in them... so I guess I need to quit focusing on sizes and start going for style......(which is also weird)

I have been hitting the clearance racks lately and it is so weird that more than just one or two things fit and I actually have a choice as to what looks good and then refrain from buying 1 in every color.. LOL

Today I started my day with a glass of milk.. and I'm getting ready to go make some oatmeal....... today I'm going to TRY to stay away from the junk that goes down oohhh sooo easily.

Yesterday I had:

pb cookie ok... two

1 bag of popcorn w/real butter melted all over it

a bit of beef stew broth

a bowl of Peanut Butter icecream on top of a piece of chocolate cake

a glass of milk

..... so yeah.. full disclosure........ there IS room for improvement

TWO DAYS OF SUN IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have problems with the port place scar sinking in? I may not be saying that right, but there is like a dip that you see through my clothes. No big deal, but odd.

Well off to shower!!!

Purple thoughts Jenn!!!!!

Happy Bandiversary Jenn and Laura!!!

Morning V's! yes it was my bandiversary, Jenn was the Virginia Tech shootings all over the tv the day of your surgery? I woke up this morning and on Good Morning America they were talking about today being the 1 year anniversary and I went.. that's my bandiversary!

I have been having great days since eating is so hard, but I found out in a bad way how easy Junior Mints go down. 170c per servings, 3.5 servings per box.. I ate the whole box. Oy. Good thing I'm going to the gym 2 days in a row, that's a lot of creamy mint & chocolate goodness to get rid of!!!

OH my goodness!! I'm gone for one day the the whole site changes. I haven't logged on since...umm, monday morning, i think. When did all this happen? I can't even find ya'll the quick way, I had to get here the long way around... Whaaaa, I want my old LBT back...

WOO HOO Laura and Jenn - Happy Bandiversary!! Can we just believe that it's already been a year?? I feel like I've known ya'll forever? What the heck did I do before I had LBT in my life? he he he

Our trip is right around the corner.... I'm getting super excited. I hope hope hope the weather is nice like it has been these past few days. It's like heaven on earth here in Houston.

I have no idea how much I have in my band. I think like 4 cc's or something like that. Last time she put Omnipaque in. I go for another fill on May 24th and hopefully that'll put me at my sweet spot.

What a crazy day yesterday! The 15th of the month is always a crazy day at work anyways because that's when I pay all my vendors. So it's this huge process to pull our A/P open invoices reports, figure out who we're paying and who we're waiting on. And then actually cutting checks or paying them with our credit card. Then on top of that having to go home and work on Juan's taxes! Yes ladies, he waited till the last minute to get all his crap together for me. And then I didn't even get to finish them. His paperwork was all disorganized and he was missing a bunch of stuff. So he had to file an extension. God Lord this man is disorganized...

My scale is not budging but I'm fitting into clothes that I thought I would never get into. So that's something. I've learned not to solely rely on the scale to measure my progress... wow, i thought I'd never say that...

TracyKS - I had never ever been able to buy stuff off the clearance rack. I always had to go to a specialised store like Lane Bryant or Catherines and you all know that their "sale" prices were not really sale prices at all. But I couldn't complain because my fat ass wouldn't fit into clothes at stores that would have real sales. The first time I actually browsed through a clearance rack and I found a few shirts and a pair of capris that I fit into I thought I had won the lotto!! Never ever had I bought a shirt for like 6 bucks or some pants for 10 bucks. Now the only problem is that I can easily become addicted to shopping. It's refreshing to fit into almost everything I like...

Sorry for the novel girls... I'm gonna go get some coffee and be back...

Happy Bandaversary Laura and Jenn! I remember Laura saying she woke up in the hospital and the VTech stuff was all over the news! What a year, eh?

I am down 2 lbs from the start of our contest. Not for trying though. Probably just a big poop, LOL! I wonder if I'll ever want to really lose weight. My little band is just waiting for me to start. Oh well, I am getting a fill next Wed. My friend got a fill 2 weeks ago, and she has been on liquids for a week. Our doc always suggests that...I don't follow that one. I don't want to be on a liquid diet. I want to be able to eat 1/2 c. of cottage cheese, and be full for a few hours. Honestly, I have not worked the band...I've worked my mouth! But, truth be told, I am happier, healthier, and overall better from the band. So there!

Email chime, gotta run!

Morning girls~

Feeling better this morning, spasms have eased, meds are getting into my system, and I feel almost human!!! My Mom kept Kinsey so I could sleep in, and I did!

Happy Bandiversary girls! I too remember waiting as each of you went through this month!! Mine will be 2 years very soon....and I am still not at goal-but close enough with my TT coming up, that I am not going to worry the last little bit. When this belly is gone, I will be happy where I am. My appointment is day after tomorrow! Rick is going with me so he can hear what his job in all this will be!

I am going for my blood draw that morning too. The offices are in the same complex, and my yearly draw is due, and will combine it with the newest thyroid check. My heart always pounds during my big test, and there is absolutely nothing different in the way they draw the blood for my thyroid and for the CA-125! But knowing it is happening, makes me nervous. I ALWAYS get a red flag on it....because it picks up tumor activity---but the normal range, and my normal range differ.

Rick changed out the motorcycle seat last night--so when he went to the shed, I had him bring in my suitcase!! Yay!!! That way I can begin dropping things in, that I think of.

Anyone want anything special from NM??????

I hear ya on shopping the different sized clothes. I remember seeing something I liked and wondering if they had my size---whether it went that big. Now I see something and often they are ALL too big! What a concept! I am still Plus size on top most of the time.....but misses on bottom, or even Junior.....but tops I have issues with. After the TT I should firmly be able to buy Large or X Large tops, but now they are seldom long enough to cover the hanging belly, so I buy HUGE tops, so they hang down long enough to cover it. The other day Becky stopped in on her way home from work----and I had on one of the tshirts they give me when I donate blood---and she was freaking out how much smaller it made me look to wear something that fit. But when I stood up and showed her why I won't normally wear that stuff out in public---she understood. This belly dictates way too much of my life, I am so glad it is going away!

My eating has been so erratic, it is pathetic! One day I will do pretty good, the next I eat like an idiot!!! Or I will do excellent all day, then lose it and pig out on something late in the day! LOL The best thing I can say about it, is at least the band and I have managed to keep it in control, so I am not gaining. That is a good thing!

Well, I guess I ought to go get dressed! Will check in with you girls in awhile...

Hugs~~

Kat

I had a minor NSV today. I bought some XL sweaters from Victoria's Secret a couple months ago, I don't know if you guys remember me being so excited about that. Well, I wore them but they were a little too tight on the boobs (not complainin). It's been warm, but the past 2 days have been cold, all my winter clothes are packed up or given away (I don't plan to wear that size next winter!!). So I was trying to find somethin warm to put on over my shirt this morning, and found one of my VS sweaters. I put it on, and it's actually.. BIG?! The boob issue was non-existant. It hangs off of me..arms and boobs were too big. An XL.. at VS!! And I only wore this one once, so I didn't stretch it out.

I was looking at my blog statistics, majority of my hits come from LBT, I finally had my first hit from google-- this is what I really wanted to see, and it was no let down. It tells you what someone googled to get to your page... ready for this? "Need to pee" roflmao. Someone typed that in google and ended up on my blog.

Glad you're feeling better today Kat!!

Happy Bandiversary Jenn and Laura. What a journey you two have been thru. I bet you would do it all over again, huh?

Getting ready to go in for our shift at the hospital. I left work this morning and went to Wally World. Half way thru it hit me how tired I was. I barely could keep my eyes open and be cordial to the checker. Finally left there and had to run to city hall to get our plot plan. Came home and went straight to bed. Dang it, slept for an hour and 15 minutes and had to go pee. Well, at least I got a little sleep. Just didn't realize how taxed I was after this last week.

Judy you had me laughing at the little old lady in the car remark. I too have found that I sit lower in my car seat. All that extra padding isn't there to prop me up.

Everyone have a great evening. Hugs.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
