Good Sat Morn, Vi's~~

A quick catch-up read before I head out to for the B'day Weekend...

I, for one, am *NOT* going to be able to participate in Terri's FABULOUS no-junk day as that is all we're going to be having today... but I'm ok w/it and plan on having just a bit of whatever and then going "no junk" tomorrow thru next Friday dinnertime... all bets are off after that! ;) It's all been planned... enjoy today... shakes & lots of exercise toomorrow - Friday... then enjoy the trip (but we'll be walking TONS, which I can't wait to record on my bodybugg to see exactly HOW much one walks when at WDW)... then back to "reality"... whatever THAT is, lol...

Ok... enough blathering... I"m off to Celebrate my Mom!

Make it a great weekend, Vi's!

GOOOOOOOOOOD Morning gals

I'm up for the challange... as my scale read 200 first thing this morning. I have been weighing in when I shower too and i'm usually the same or a little less, on nights I work I am a little bloated first thing in the am.

I will be in Onederland tomorrow!!!!! Holy crap, I'm so excited i can't stand it. My lowest in 15 years that I can remember is 198. When I was 19 I got down to 150 and I was in a small everything but hated jeans so don't know... but size 8 skirts. I can't imagine myself 50lbs less, I will be the size of my dd.

soooo I WILL CTC Today.

going to JCPenney with mom in a bit to get some work clothes for my new job that I will have next week. Everyone looked nice but business casual and Friday is dress down day.

Michelle - did you get the capir's. If they work I found the other pair and will get them out to you.

Sounds like you all need a serious "Water Day". So.

Water Patrol on Duty.

I'll be checking in thru the day to see how you're doing.

Terry, I'm with you. Although I have been on my best behavior this week. I have a fill this Monday and have to weigh-in at his office. I'm trying to make up for some bad weeks I had thru the holidays.

Laura, Hope today is better for you. Did you get my card yet?

Jenn, still crossing my fingers for you.

Everyone have a great day and stay away from the "crap".

Happy Ground Hog day. Warmth is almost here.

I am fighting so hard not to slip into depression and disgust about NOT losing weight. I just spent some time on the B&A thread and it usually inspires me. Today it just made me jealous and sad.

I'm gonna go hit the showers. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Love you Terry.......

you look great... and remember it is harder for numbers to go down the less we weigh. I have been stuck for months too, One day at a time. but I know the feeling about B&A. sometimes when I go on I don't understand why I can't see such a difference in me and get depressed.

Terri you're so close to goal that you're at the point (from what I've read on the boards, not experience of course) where every pound is hard because you really have to find the calorie in/out equilibrium. Are you mixing up your exercise routines?

It must be all this crazy coughing (long, loud, painful, pulling fits) burns calories. Despite my pint yesterday I am still 241 today, so I am claimin it.

I can't throw the other one away, I'm not a good girl. Since I haven't had it in so long and I saved it till I could taste again, I've been dreamin about it. If I don't have some of it when I can taste again, I'll go nutso and eat a bunch of random junk I don't even want just to make up for it. BUT I promise after I eat some of it, I won't buy it again till I am sick or some other desperate situation ;)

Crap, still gotta do that homework. I keep hoping it'll do itself.

Well, change in plans, my gram has been in a nursing home and is a long sad story but anyway, her lungs are filling up, we have a dnr on her and they are not allowed to do anything to prolong her life, nothing except pain management. Mom is a hospice nurse and she said we need to get over there.

It is so sad but would be such a blessing, she has been in such a state... last xmas we were called to come say good bye and here we are over a year later. So we have been praying every day that the lord takes her.

Morning Vi's~

Terry~ First of all...PURPLE POWER for your mom. I remember those hospital days...hang tough. And when you get down about your weight...think of me! Forever 250:mad:.

I too am unable to participate in your eat great day. MIL is on her way over...w/ her friends! She called Wed and asked what I wanted. She makes this (food porn) kickin' meatloaf w/ extremely lean beef and it tastes like salsberry steak. Not too bad...until you add the German noodles, gravy and potatoes...no wonder.

I did have a MAJOR NSV yesterday, but was tooooo fat and pissed to write it yesterday. I went through closet (all my fat old clothes go to MIL's friends daughter) and got rid of 10 pairs of pants. I officially have 4 pair of jeans (2 blue and 2 black) and one of the black pair are already too big, just don't want to give 'em away yet. I actually tried on the pair I wore the night I met Susanne...and not only did they fit...they were slightly big!!!!! I tried on clothes that 9 months ago I couldn't get up my thighs...and they fit! So (pizza meltdown aside) I don't give a shit what the scale says...I am losing something! Maybe it is the exercise. I know it is not the pizza.

I know I could use a little fill. But, I am not willing to live like I did, PB'ing all the time. I couldn't eat food...that is not good. I'd rather eat, and I can't deny that the portions are sooo much less. I think of Kat...who has been successful but can still eat food. Sorry, PB'ing is not for me.

Well, off to get ready for the crew. I am having a small get together tomorrow...think I am gonna do Chickentisers and little foods like that. I don't wanna have left overs and don't wanna do too much work. I have so much to do cause I leave Tues @ 2pm for Disneyland Hotel!

Have a great day/weekend everyone! I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends in my life!

Judy~ Sadly I won't be able to go to Mass on Wednesday (I usally never miss Ash Wednesday)...but I am gonna start thinking about Lent. I may add a walk everyday to the routine instead of giving something up. Not sure yet!

Good morning, Violets...I can't believe how in sync we are. My first words to the bobster this morning were.. I am NOT going to snack today. None of this, this, this or this as I pointed to all the things I had for Ethan. YES.. I am with you. Today is Gound Hog day and I refuse to become a Grazing Hog.

Off to make my Breakfast with lots of Protein to hold me over til lunch. Course I didn't get up until 10 this morning for that's not much time in between meals.;)

Kat..Ethan has only been over twice since I got the trampoline. I got him on it yesterday, he was scared before that. He sat on it while I jumped, but really wasn't that interested in it. However, from now on, I'll just roll it into the closet. It's so easy to hide.

Laura...your choice, but is the ice cream worth it to you??

TracyK...nothing planned for today, but tomorrow will be a Super Bowl gathering at DD's house. I'll be bringing bbq meatballs in the crockpot. Tomorrow is going to be a difficult CTC day, but I'm going to do it. Cruise is in 22 days and I want to lose as much as possible before then. I want to be stunning in my black dress on formal night!

Terry...you hang in there!!! Are you getting any exercising in??? 104 days til the Bash. Then we can give each other high fives and congrats in person!!! And we ALL deserve high fives and congrats... just remember where you were one year ago today. We were just starting on our journeys. I'm so much happier with myself today than I was Feb. 2, 2007. And we now have each other to keep us on the path, picking each other up when we stumble. End of sermon

Jenn - I'm so sorry about your grandma. I know it must be so hard for you to pray to God that he takes her. I was in that same situation with my grandma. She was suffering so much and I just wanted peace for her. I'll be praying for her and for your family.

Terry - Hope your mom gets better! And yes, don't we all wish Denise would come and take care of our loved ones personally? Hope you have a "Denise" somewhere in the bunch where your mom is at...

Well today we are going to be moving furniture. We sold our couch set but the lady we sold it to does not have a way to pick it up or even get it up to her apartment. So we said we wouldn't mind bringing it to her and hauling it upstairs. Good excercise!

And yes I'll join Terry in a no junk Saturday. I have to be good today because tomorrow I'm making all sorts of goodies that I know I'll be tasting!

Off to clip 12 sets of toenails and trim six little ears of hair! I'm grooming my three dogs today!

Everyone have a great Saturday!

You brought up a good point Judy. Let's all think for a minute about where we were on last Feb 2nd. How we were feeling.... I was in so much pain that I didn't know at the time was my gallbladder. A week later I had my gallbladder taken out. Because I was so overweight I had huge gallstones. My liver was oversize, my blood pressure was high. Today I have none of those ailments. Not one. For that I am grateful.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
