Pre band, I used to have them---with cream cheese. As a kid growing up I would not even try cream cheese! Then in high school, we were at a party and they had them with cream cheese, and of course to fit in, I ate one----which led to boxes and boxes through the years!

Jane, my Dr. found and fixed my haital hernia in surgery, but it did not stay repaired--which I understand it likely just herniated in a slightly different area. And is not unusual. Dangit!

Denise, I am doing the same thing, if I would quit when I get the first signal, I would be good, but I wait, and keep nibbling----DOH!

We usually get money back come income tax time, which makes our accountant crazy! Rick claims single and zero dependents all year long! They take massive taxes out, and yes the gov't. gets to use it all year tax free, but it keeps us from spending it a dollar at a time, and gives us several thousand dropping in at one time, so we get to "do" something! We always buy a CD, then make a plan....small vacation, or something for the house. Trips are much more fun by the way than re roofing!!! It works for us, and so does the accountant so he doesn't say much other than to always remind us it is not the wisest way!!!

We are in the middle of a blizzard....seriously. You cannot tell which way the snow is falling, the wind is blowing so hard you hear it howling! I opened the door, and pushed the storm door open to look, since it fogged up, and pushed snow off of the threshhold!! On a covered porch! Looks like DD is not going to work again tomorrow!

I tried my suit on for Rick since I was so unhappy with it, and he said it looks great, he said he is impressed. I give up! Either he too needs new glasses, I am way hyper critical, or some of both!

Well I am off to ebay for awhile....will check in tomorrow!

Hugs~~

Kat

Update on my fill: I talked to both my surgeon(from mexico) and the Dr who did my fill. I am going to back to my states Dr next Tue to see if I have retained any Fluid. If I have he will do another fill (to make me tighter) although he thinks I have a good chance of having a leak. If I do have a leak I have talked to my surgeon and I will fly to Mexico for a port evaluation and for him to replace it if he needs to.

I cant find any Dr to fill me with the stuff (thicker solution) that was suggested. I am just praying I have retained my fluid.

Good Morning Violets~

WOW...I am back, well pretty much. Feel 1000% better, yet still a bit weak. Yesterday I ate more food, and even had a Protein Shake. Only got in 40oz of Water, but that is better than day before. I will hit or exceed 60 today...that is all I can do.

I am getting orthotic fitted today. I have heel spurs and must wear them. I basically wear tennis shoes every day. I have Nike's in every color...it works for me! But the last month, my orthotics have squeaked...so time for new ones.

I think I am being observed today. Gotta look great and teach a great lesson. I've planned one for today, just need to confirm w/ boss he is still coming in today! Wish me luck. Since I am not feeling myself, I am kinda dreading it.

Hopefully, I'll go to class tonight. Gonna leave it in the air, but if I can go at all...I will.

Have a great day everyone! I'll pop in when I can!

xoxoxoxo

TracyK~feel better honey!

Hi all

Kat - it is obvious I am too critical on myself too. So I feel your pain

Tracyk - glad you are well enough to get back to reality today

Pam - good luck - glad you are better too - I guess you will never do that again

I'm seriously thinking of getting a consult for ps...... just to see where I am at. Truthfully if I didn't have this belly, these long saggy boobs and my batwings....... I would be pretty dang happy... I will always live with my legs because... a thigh lift would just be too painful and too much of a PIA to heal........

I'm going to do a search of BCBS surgeons and start calling them....

this is a copy of the Obesity section in my SPD (I posted this on the Cosmetic Surgery Board and Dr. J.LO commented that is was a GREAT provision.. so that gives me hope.

I know I will have to be off work a minimum of 2 weeks more likely 3.. which means I will need to save up some PTO, and then dip into my old sick bank that has 55 hours in it (frozen when we went to a PTO system)

My thought is...... do boobs and arms first? or the tummy? This is why I need a consult.

Yesterday I was bragging about what a model bandster i was being. HA! Well, went to the grocery store after work (hungry like crazy) and they were handing out these awesome <food porn> Cookies and I just popped that sucker into my mouth...bite after bite until it was gone! THEN I cursed myself for ruining my no-cheat day. Had cottage cheese again for dinner to try to make up for it.

I have had some revelations over the last few days since i've been really trying to monitor my food and I've come to the conclusion that what i've been doing is 'cramming my food in'. What i mean by that is that I don't care if it takes me an hour, by golly, I'll get all that food on my plate down my gullet!!! So, what I need to do is go back to using a saucer for my plate and REGULATE MY PORTIONS!! I'm just as satisfied and not belching and PBing! Duh. What a lightbulb moment, eh?

Tracy - nice

I would get the consult. I talked to one the other day and going to schedule an appt to get an idea of price, time off, so on.

I am not going to do me all, I want my boobs done, just because I always did and a TT. I could live with me if I didn't have this stupid stomach. I know I can't do it until next year when I get vacation time, but I am going to put away all my extra money to pay. You schedule a consult and I'll do mine???

I say do what ever bothers you most first, for me it would be tummy

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
