Good morning everyone!

Just got macy to school and am on my 2nd (and final) cup of coffee for the morning.

Snow...wowee. It snowed on Christmas Eve a few years ago. First and probably last time I will ever have a white christmas unless we move  It gave a whole new meaning to the song "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas". It was such an event that we videotaped it snowing. Just set the video cam up next to the window and recorded the whole thing. I remember I was wrapping presents when it started snowing and I jumped up (about midnight mind you) and started throwing clothes on and dh says "where are you going?". Are you kidding me? "Outside to play in the snow, that's where". He acted like he thought I was crazy but he still came with me  Good times. So many people took pictures in the area that all of the 1 hour photo places were not able to promise pics back for up to a week!! lol

Well, 10 days into November and I am still at 206. I will be lucky to lose 4 this month considering I have not even lost one yet. I had heard that smoking raises your metabolism...now I am starting to believe it! But I am going to keep on keepin' on. At least I am not gaining.

Have a fantastic day violets. Make good choices!

good morning girls........... I have not weighed in two days, but today I am trying to make good choices....

I ate a grilled cheese sandwich, AND thin crust pizza yesterday! DAMN........... oh and about 1/2 a tin of chocolate/caramel covered popcorn....... not a pretty day for me.

Today, I've had coffee w/ sf creamer

a few slices of cheddar cheese

WC oatmeal made with cream and Water (cutting down the carbs)

I will be having cottage cheese for lunch

SF pudding cup for snack (if needed)

oh, and I'm going to make an appointment for Robby..... the special ed teacher says she is sure he had at least the HD part of ADHD......... we had a lonnnggggggg talk Friday pm..... Charles is not helping matters, making me feel like crap for even hinting at the need for meds.... he had me in tears Friday saying things ..like........ "Fine! Drug Him! Whatever, Dope him up!" I finally told him to shut up because I already was feeling guilty...

My boss is gone this week so I have a super busy time ahead....... plus I am just at my wits end....... I am pretty sure I'm re inflating my belly......... DH is blissfully giddy that I CAN eat food..... I've got to be strong... Strong everywhere.......

Morning girls!!

Tracy - thanks for my Facebook msg. I did make time for ME this weekend but that involved stuffing my face! Not good...

Girls, let me tell ya'll about an experience I had this weekend...

I went to a dress rental shop on Saturday afternoon. I need a dress to wear to the Latin Grammy's on Thursday (so excited, we'll be sitting with the stars!!!), anyhoo. I was going through and asking the owner that was helping me if they have dresses in my size, blah blah blah. A lady comes out of her dressing room and asks me to help her zip up. She's got on these gorgeous floor length, strapless mermaid gown. It's fairly tight on her but I manage to zip her. She's in her late thirties, fairly slender, about a size 6. She looks in the mirror and then says the dress isn't going to work because her PORT shows. My head just did a 180, wha?? A port? Yep, she was banded a year ago. Went from a size 22-24 to a size 6-8. She went from 240 to 126. So then I had to sit down with her and talk to her. To ask her how she did it, blah blah blah. Well, it's what we've known all along. She drinks lots and lots of Water. More than 120 oz. She excersises 3-4 times a week. She keeps a food journal. Even now that she's just maintaining, she says that the food journal is a must. I know that when I was doing even just the water intake and the food journal that I was steadily losing...

Well I shared this with ya'll because she really inspired me to get back on track. To start tracking what goes in my mouth, good and bad!

TracyKS - Sorry that Charles isn't being supportive. That really really bites that he's putting this on your shoulders instead of being your partner and trying to figure this out together. That's not the way it's supposed to be...

AMEN! easier said than done though. I struggle with that with Juan too. He keeps wanting to feed me sweets. They make me happy and mellow... But then I feel miserable afterwards... Ugh. Men.

Sorry about the situation with Robby Tracy, I have no sage advice, but I hope it resolves itself and what's best for Robby happens!

That's so weird Haydee, small world indeed. I feel like food journal is my best bet too, but somehow when I start going over my daily intake I just stop recording, like.. it won't count if I don't put it down!! But I do try to calculate in my head at the end of the day 'roughly' how much I had. I think I 'roughly' had 3,500 yesterday.. yikes. I had 4 ice cream bars.. yeah, 4.

The pepperoncini roast was amazing again, you couldn't tell I added anything..was still too spicy for me to have the au jus, but the meat tasted great.

I am bouncing between 228-229lb for days, which made me happy. Then I do something stupid like 4 ice cream bars in 1 day.

I haven't met any banders outside of LBT or my doc's office, but I've run into RnY patients.

10oz of Apple juice & handful of cheerios for b'fast.

Haydee.

I'm finishing up my third journal. I have written in a journal every day since the surgery. I write what the weather is, what I'm doing that day, what I have eaten (good and bad) and if I've taken my Vitamin and had enough Water. I record my exercise too.

The journal has become the first thing I do in the mornings even before checking on my Violets..

i know! I wish I could do that. Wishing is a part of my life though, LOL. My therapist said that journals are very important. That I needed to write in it every day. Why oh why do I pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for people to give me good advice and then I walk out the door and I don't do it? Can someone just beat me now?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
