bandster_1007 1 Posted January 7, 2008 ok, so i had my sugery 10/18. since then, i have had one 4 hour period. then this month, i just didn't get one at all. i took an otc prego test and the first one was positive and the 3 after that were negative. i used to suffer from amenhorrea, but it was when i was anorexic. i'm getting plenty of cal's now (at least i was before my fill). has anyone else experienced this and is it normal? i'm trying to see if it could be band related, i do have endometriosis. luluc 6 Posted January 7, 2008 Banster I was banded a few days before you and I have not had a normal period since. There is no pattern to it's timing or length of stay, I experience more cramping, and my flow is heavier. I am older, and have had the good old friend since I was 10 - sooo, upon my OBGYN visit last week, she thinks the surgery has shocked my system or I could be pre menopausal. I'm not yet 40, but my mom went through the change or started around my age..so that's not to say it couldn't happen to me. I also have endometriosis, and have for as long as I can remember. I'm going to guess that the band surgery has shocked my system some, as the pain is more than before (with endo) - I'm just going to ignore it some (found working out has helped a bunch with this regard) - until the night sweats arrive. Hope your feeling better so to start running w/us!!!

mmsmom 1 Posted January 7, 2008 waited a long time for my first period after surgery and then it lasted twice as long as normal and was very heavy flow. Feel like it is coming again soon - slight weight gain due to Fluid. Yuck
bandster_1007 1 Posted January 7, 2008 thank you guys so much for answering. i've been really worried about it, and it is good to know that it is more than likely surgery related.
