Spicing it up

My packet of post op info says that you can use baby food for the mushy stage. Even food that you puree in the processor, can you add spices to it to make it kind of taste like "real" food? Or does it need to be bland?

My nutritionist said to definitely play with the spices.......no one wants to eat bland food. Have fun with it.......spice it up!

rakes4321, if you have a blender, i took campells, chicken tortilla Soup and blended it up, it gets thick and mushy real well and it has Beans and chicken for the protein!!! it is also very well spiced!!I am on regular food and i still blend it up once in a while.
