New stuff in the right hand corner of the posts!!

Recommended Posts

This is an excessively weird little parlor game, I must say. You've probably discovered by now that if someone has left a comment while upping your "rep" you can see that comment by clicking on the scales in the post on which they left a comment. Otherwise what pops up is your total Reputation Points.

I never have the time or patience for this sort of thing, I'm sorry to say. :D It's hard enough to get here to read new posts as much as I'd like to! But I"m glad to see everyone is having fun! Rep away, but be careful where you spread that rep. Safe repping, that's our mantra!!

I've pm'd Mr. Alex about what these things actually mean. I'll let you know what I find out. We've got a lot of different speculations here.

Meanwhile, I like Vinesqueen's idea about trading the points in for merchandise! LOL

Wow, I have 10 points and I'm off the scale!!! What does that mean, LOL! Also, I don't have the little triangle thing to report bad posts. I feel soooo left out, LOL!!!

Kelly, it sometimes takes Mr. Alex a few days to get back to us. We'll let you know what we find out.

Meanwhile like Alexandra said, "Practice safe repping". LOL

The reason u don't have the triangle thing is because u can't report a bad post on yourself....I don't have one either..cause I am logged in under my name:-)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
