3 Cheers For The Monitors Of LBT

Recommended Posts

I do not know how many monitors there are offically at LBT. I would like to know. I would also like to say that I am so greatfull for all their time & energy spent taking care of this site.

I propose that if any member would like we could each buy a lotto ticket for the monitors or maybe one for each & send them to a specific address. Then which ever monitor gets them could split any winnings from any of the states with the other monitors. Just a way of saying " Hey your appreciated & thanks". What does everyone think? Its a dollar well spent I think.

Christina, what a thoughtful gesture! I'm honored to be a moderator of such a fantastic board of "banded friends" that I wouldn't have had the pleasure to meet any other way --all over the world. I, personally, say, "Thank you, but no gifts please." Let's continue to support, respect, and encourage each other here on LBT.

Huh? What's a lottery ticket? (HaHa...I live in North Carolina, no lottery here) That is a nice thought though. I know you will accept a super big THANK YOU!!!! All of you!

CHristina: Thank you so much for the compliment. I too am blessed as a moderator of this informative and supportive board. I also like Marie do not want any gift for moderating this board. The gift and payment for me is the continued support we each show one another. That is payment enough.

I agree with the other moderators that gifts are unnecessary. I truly get a great deal of joy out of just knowing this site is out there and that I do a little (tiny) something to keep it alive. Being able to tell other people about this site is a great thing, and that's really thanks to all of the members! You're who keep it going, not us. :D

Congratulations, Betty! Tangerine is unable to serve as a moderator. Mr. Alex has asked Betty (Iluvharleys) to accept this position. I know you will continue to use your levelheadedness, kindness, and support to help all of us here.

I do not know how many monitors there are offically at LBT. I would like to know.

There are four moderators at LBT...Alexandra, Penni, Iluvharleys (Betty), and New Hope (Marie).

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
