GrannyAces 1 Posted January 5, 2008 My granddaughter was banded on Nov 22. She has no fills, but just called me to say she has been coughing after eating for the last two days. Does anyone know if this is related to the band or not? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
SherryW 4 Posted January 5, 2008 I don't recall ever coughing after eating except when I wanted to get something out of my stomach. Is she over doing it...meaning taking a bite or two more than she should? The extra food in her esphogus could cause coughing. If she's throwing up due to too much coughing then she really does need to contact her doctor.
SherryW 4 Posted January 5, 2008 Just another thought...if she's prone to heartburn that will cause the coughing as well.
bernette123 0 Posted January 24, 2008 Hi, I was banded on Jan 7, 2008 and I am also bothered by coughing. At first I thought maybe it was a mild cold or allergies. I'm still coughing. Is this normal? Would like to hear from others with this problem.
Amanda Sizemore 0 Posted February 20, 2008 Hi- I To Also Have Started Coughing When Eating And It Even Happends If I Don't Eat. At Times I'm Eating And Start Coughing And Get Wheezy And Can Hear A Bunch Of Excess Secreations In My Esophages. Sometimes I Cough So Hard I Throw Up. It's Just Like Slimmy Phlem Stuff Though. This Just Started Like Last Week. I'm Not Sure If It May Be Cold Related Or Not. I've Been Slightly Congested This Past Week. I Also Feel A Tickle In My Throat And That Causes Me To Cough. I Also Recently Was Diagnosed With Acir Reflux. I've Been On Prevacid For A Little Over 2wks Now And It Seems To Be Helping Alittle With The Extreme Reflux I Suffer At Night. I To Would Like To Hear If Other's Have This Coughing Problem.
