I believe WW is about 1200 calories a day? I am maintaining right now and my doctor said it is quite common to maintain at 1200. Any advise? I consume 27 points per day. My goal is 35 lbs.

What is your exercise level? You are close to your goal (RIGHT ON! & CONGRATS!). You may have to cut ... I found in the past that WW didn't have enough Protein for me and too many carbs. Can you fiddle with it and see if it makes a difference? Just an idea! I'd up my exercise for sure or switch it up and do something different. Good luck!

Can you lower your points to 20? The last time I did it they would allow you to "fast track" by dropping to 20 but not going lower than that.

I've considered doing it again but I don't think I could eat enough to fulfill the 20 points unless I was eating things that were less healthy or stuff that was easy to get through the band - both of which are bad ideas for me :)

Are you getting in your dairy? They used to tell me to trade something for a glass of milk a day to help with weight loss. It helps get the fat out of your body - just saw it on Dr. Oz show they other night too.

Good luck Julie!!

I remember (whilst doing another slimming plan) that there was a 'Wendy Plan' or something like that. There was a lady (called Wendy, obviously!!) that had been doing WW for a long time and kept hitting long plateaus. So what she decided to do was to vary her points throughout the week. So what you would do is multiply your daily allowance of points by seven and then do a different amount each day. so for example 27 points X 7 = 189 for the week. So monday you would have 30, tuesday 24, wednesday 28, thursday 25, friday 23, saturday 34 (for weekend treats) sunday 25. If my maths is correct this adds up to 189.

The idea is that your body is working harder as it has a different calorific intake each day and therefore does not become complacement which makes you plateau.

When I done Slimming World (UK only plan) I was allowed 15 syns a day, whenever I got stuck I just varied my syns each day, sometimes only having 2 or 3 and it always kicked started the loss again.

Hope this helps. Wendy used to have a website, but I am not sure if it is still running now, maybe a google search?

I've done weight watchers lately and it has worked for me. But I'm now also plateauing with it. So after doing more research on nutrition I figured out that WW allows wayy to many white carbs. I couldn't figure out how I could work out hard for 5 days a week and still gain 3 pounds. Well what I was doing was loading up my pantry with those 100 calorie pack Cookies and crackers that are only 2 points. Well I would workout then come home and eat like 3 of those packs. Basically nullifying what I just did with my workout. Even though it was only 6 points.

So what I am saying is yes WW will work but you still have to make good food choices even if ur staying within your points. Expecially if your body make up is like mine and very sensitive to carbs and sugar.

Hi girls, I don't have too many carbs in my diet. I think I am going to try core this week. My Protein Shake only counts as 2 points a day that way since skim milk is free. I know I need to continue to take alcohol out of my diet. I did drink quite a few points on NY eve.

I looked back on my food logs and it looks like I may be consume too many carbs and alcohol. They say you can drink 1 drink a day. I did use quite a few points on my 2point rum and crystal light drinks. I am going to bump up the Protein and omitt the alcohol. I probabably will try core this coming week and make sure I eat a ton of protein. Also, I need to start exercising more and more Water. My fill is really good from yesterday so I am not as hungry today. Before my fill it took me 1 package oatmeal 2 pts, 1 banana 2 pts, 1 egg 2 pts and 1 whole wheat toast with butter 3 points just to get through noon yesterday. Today I had a Protein Shake at 8:30 followed by a latte at 10am and so far the hunger is at bay. Wish me luck. I did WW quite a few years ago and did really well on it. Truthfully I would be happy with my 1-2 lbs a week again. That was my average with the band when I was losing. Thanks for the support! Julie

One point on WW equals approx 50 to 70 calories depending on the Fiber and fat content in the food. so if we take the avergage of that at 60 calories, then at 27 points you might be consuming over 1600 calories. At the lowest range figuring 50 calories for every point you'd be at 1350 and at the higest figuring 70 calories for every point you could be at 1890.

It's easy to figure that with nutrition label from packaged food and the WW sliding scale they give you to figure points. If you don;t have one of theose red sliding scales ask them for one.

So when having carbs aim for high fiber like whole wheat bread or brown rice and limit your serving size of those.

Stay away from fats and lower your points. I never lose weight on WW unless I keep my daily points to 24 and then I lose 3 pounds a month. But that was without exercise.

Thanks for the tip. I dropped my points down to 20 today to see if I can jump start. I also am ommitted all alcohol to see how I do. So far today I've done really well. I had my band adjusted to 2.8 yesterday so I once again don't have hunger. This has been a great day with lots of Protein. I'll keep you posted and thanks for the tip!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
