When do you know...?

Recommended Posts

When do you know you are close to the sweet spot? What kind of sensations do you get? I have only had 1 fill in a 14cc band and I know I am probably nowhere near restriction. I was just wanting to know how you felt just before you got there. I can tell that my Water feels like it slows down and then passes through. I can still eat. I haven't had anything real solid but for lunch I had a can of Wolf Brand Turkey Chili without Beans and I felt good and full afterward. I can tell I have more restriction than before I had the fill but I know that I am not near that elusive "sweet-spot" yet.

I didn't know there was a 14cc band??

In any event, YOU'LL KNOW!

There's no guessing 'is this it?' hehe.

So just keep getting fills, you'll know B)

I have a 10cc band and I think I am at the "sweetspot". I have 4 1/2 cc in my band. I can eat some food, but I am unable to over eat. I am loosing at a normal rate (for me). You have to keep in mind that as you loose weight you may have to have it filled more. Your band will let you know. We all learn so much about our bodies in this process it is amazing. Good luck

It is the new APL Advanced Platform Large band. The AP is 10cc and the APL is 14cc.

I had .5cc prime and added 2cc. 2.5cc total.

From what I hear, it takes like 'at least' 5cc for people with 10cc to get anywhere.. I would imagine with 14cc, you would end up with at least 7cc to feel anything. Just a guess, but I would not be concerned about 2.5cc in a 14cc and not feeling it yet.

It's a bummer your doc is slow on the fills, mine was trying to be the same way, .5cc at a time (they thought, it wasn't going in and I was getting frustrated at not feeling anything), but after 6 months of no restriction he finally put in 1.5cc when they were able to get in my port.

Woops I misread, your doc isn't that slow.. 2cc at a time I would think is about right for a 14cc!

I also have the 14cc band and have only had one fill for a total of 3 cc's. I'm not at my sweet spot, but definitely have some restriction. I normally eat about 1 cup of food at a meal and feel full afterwards. I'm also loosing at an acceptable rate. About 2 pounds a week on average. The clinic where I have fills will not give another fill if you average 2 pounds a week, so I don't know when I'll be getting a second fill.
