I feel like changing my old one! It's incredibly boring and uncreative, and I want a new one, damn it! B):heh:

I am completely uncreative this morning, just wanted to say it is nice to see you back!

Well,...I always thought that if I did have children I would have to name 'em Scotch&Water and Reading. This is because these are 2 things that I really, really like and I am not over fond of babies and young children. By giving 'em names of favourite things the little creatures would stand a better chance of surviving and prospering, I figured. :heh: Perhaps you might want to take the same approach vis-a-vis your new name. :o

By the way, I was reserving Scotch&Water for a boy, eh. :bounce:

Hmm, not a bad idea. I have a couple of cats named Mouse and Mini that I adore, so I guess I could use some combination of those. Or I could look up some odd scientific name for something. I'll have to see what I can find.

How about Uvula? Suitable for a biologist, no? And it sounds vaguely sexy!

Ha ha, it sounds almost pornographic. I like it! :bounce:

Cytokine storm sounds kinda cool but could be fatal. Or how bout a nice transmembrane Protein like an integrin?

Hmm. No, I think I'm looking for something more ecology or wildlife related.

Ha! Very cute, guys! I'm thinking about something related to the species I'm doing my thesis on, the LoggerHead Shrike. Maybe Laniidae or Spanish Mockingbird or something.

You can see how original I am by mine. I don't think I am the one to give good advice.

I do think it's a great idea to go with something related to biology

unless you're tired of that by the end of the day.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
