I go for the Wendy's plain baked potato three times a week. It only costs $1.06, and contrary to popular belief potatos are actually quite healthy in moderation.

Subway type shops - tuna or chicken salad in a Pasta cup with no bread.

Chipotle - I like the Barbacoa Beef Burrito Bowl with black Beans & hot salsa (no rice) - If you can stretch it into 3 meals like I can when I'm at my "sweet" spot then its around 210 calories per meal with a high Protein / low carb count.

Wendy's - Chili, Refried Beans

I will also order chicken Strips from Wendy's, Kentuky Fried or McD's in a pinch but it's not the best option considering its batter fried.

our local subway only charges .50 a scoop for the tuna....i go get like 3-4 scoops and its awsome..fast ...and mushy!! not yet filled but it works for me....they will add veggies to it for you if you like...i get peppers and onion..yumm...great breath for kissing hubby!!? lol :eyebrows:

In reading the Subway nutrition booklet I discovered the tuna salad was one of the highest in fat sandwiches they have so you might want to be cautious with this. They must make the tuna salad with some seriously high fat mayo!!

I was just looking up nutritional info on the tuna.. they don't have it listed seperately so I could see.. but on a mini-sub it's 320 calories, which I think was the highest calorie mini-sub they have.

It says it's made of tuna, mayo, and cheese.< /p>

Might be the cheese, I didn't realize it had cheese in it!

I'm holding the booklet right here ..says the mini sub includes wheat bread, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, pickles, olives and cheese for 320 calories and 18 grams of fat! I know 2 triangles of cheese on any sanwich there adds 40 calories. Looking at the 6 inch which includes all of the same things it says 530 calories and 31 grams of fat!! It has to be the tuna salad making the numbers so high so I would avoid it ..it was my favorite sandwhich there, I was SHOCKED it was so high but I make my own tuna salad now!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
