Thanks everyone for all the replies. I keep all this in mind as a shop. I will get a good bra fitting because I haven't had one in years. I'll probably check out Lane Bryant and MAYBE I'll try on an underwire bra again. I have an underwire bra that I tried on a few days ago and it did not fit at all........maybe it's the wrong size....I dunno, but we'll see.

How about oprah.com and her bra shop? She had done a bunch of shows on bra fitting and has bras for those of us who are generously endowed.

Chantelle, Prima Dona, Ibra, and Freya Tallula are some that she has recommended.

Try JCPenny. I am the same size as you and they have our size in stock and often have 2 for one sales. They have tons that are not underwire. Good luck with your girls. My husband calls my bras "Over the shoulder boulder holders" ha ha. Just a little funny for serious buisness.

Well, ladies I am surprised no one has posted this one since Spanx are a bandster must have! Spanx has come out with a new bra it is not on the market yet, but it comes out on Jan 8th I think, for sure in Jan. It is made from hose material and has a front clasp no underwire and is supposed to be super comfortable and supportive. They already make one that is like a sports bra it is about $35. The new one is going to be about $60. I know this is kinda pricy but it looks as if it will illiminate the shoulder strap indention. Plus it is supposed to minimize back fat and side boob fat! I can't wait I have already preorder one!! If you are a fan of Spanx check it out on their website!!

Overall I don't like LB, but I only get my bras & panties there.

They will fit you if you ask.. (I hate doing this personally, I'm so tall and they're normally in the girl's face and.. bah).

But like I said, since losing weight, first time in my life underwire is not uncomfortable. And making sure you get the right size is important!

Maybe it's enell? Someone mentioned on the exercise thread a good sports bra, I went ahead and ordered one and I have to say it IS the best sports bra I ever had. I wouldn't wear it normally (it makes my boobs disappear), but for exercising it is a life saver, and when I have it on my back instantly feels like I don't have boobs pulling me down.

I do have some non-underwire bras, and they're now as comfortable as my normal bras.. but they've never been able to make me perky, no matter what size I get or how tight I make them.

I've never like front closure bras either, my boobs are not big, but if I bent a certain way the thing would pop open. Check out the Spanx web site, take a look at their bras. Personally I think it would feel wonderful having supportive hose material holding up my girls. Plus, I seriously need help with the backfat! When I get my bra I will be sure to give ya'll a review of it!!

I have a lot of side boob fat. The underwire seems to dig into the side fat. I'll definitely check out that new Spanx bra and the enell sports bra. I need a new sports bra that will hold em down good.

Thanks everyone!

I can't believe I'm about to say this...........I actually bought an underwire bra tonight at Walmart. I told everyone that I hated underwire, but I guess since I've lost weight, they don't hurt so bad. It's a curvation bra size 44DD.

I'm still going shopping next Wednesday for another one, but I honestly couldn't wait until then to buy one. The one I was wearing was in terrible shape, it only had one hook that wasn't broken.

I'm going for a fill next Wednesday and there is a mall in that town, so keep the ideas coming.

My daughter had a real problem after she lost about 80 lb--one side was way smaller than the other. Now THAT made bra fitting interesting. She's evened up now, thank goodness.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
