So I have had my first 2 fills (3rd one next week). I am still hungry all the time and can eat as much as I always did. I have not lost any more weight. But I have not gained any either. Should i still be losing and not able to eat much?

You have good weight loss for having been banded 2 1/2 months. Are you following all of the band rules? Are you tracking your intake and exercising?

On Dec. 17th, I had my 3rd fill and this was the first fill that actually made a difference. Hang in there. It can take up to five fills before some people notice a difference, per my doctor. Also, once you get a fill, it can take a few days before you notice a difference too.

You'll get there...I have been eating like a pig myself and I realized that I need a fill too. I have not been exercising too much because of travel and the holidays. (I will not beat myself up.) We are in this together. 35 pounds qualifies for superstar status! Just wait until next week you'll waste away.

Sounds like you need another fill. Same here! Able to eat too much, hungry too often. From what I've read on posts about folks who are in that "sweet spot" this isn't it!

i agree you need another fill, but

compare yourself to me...no weight loss...none at all...

that should make you feel better.

i know it will come, it just takes time.

I had my surgery 3 years ago and it took a good year to lose 100 lbs. Recently seeing weight gain and am getting depressed and scared. Need to excercise and watch my fat, calorie intake. Have trouble swallowing now and do not want to get filled so much that I am constantly vomiting. Any low fat foods that you are having luck with? Am not a big fan of yogurt. Am basically asking for ideas on what to eat that is low in fat, has Vitamins, minerals, Fiber and will stay down. Any input appreciated. Thanks.

lori you may want to post this is the food section. you will probably get more response there.

most of us are pretty new at this, but if you are constantly vomiting and gaining, there could be a complication. the 2 just don't go well together. i would check with my doctor. also, i do not know that it is normal to have difficulty swallowing, at least i was never told about that.

do you log your food? that is supposed to help a lot. as far as low fat low cal foods...HA...i'm still eating crap. Water was the first thing that came to mind that i like. but of course, salads, chilli, steak, chicken, Beans, anything not processed.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
