Teachlady 3 Posted January 4, 2008 My doctor said to lose some weight before surgery, but he didn't stipulate how to do it. I followed a low carb, high Protein plan, dropped a few pounds and was good to go. Surgery was a breeze and I've been doing well ever since.
citygirl4616 2 Posted January 4, 2008 I am being banded in 6 days, on 1/10, and was given no pre-op diet. I do have to go on a clear liquid diet for 48 hours prior to surgery (only broth, juice, Jello..that kind of stuff) and nothing after midnight the day of surgery. jenniferann6 0 Posted January 4, 2008 kacee, I came to that realization that I will still be able to eat, only in smaller portions, it's helped me pull the reigns in on grazing in the kitchen. I haven't had surgery yet and am doing the pre-op, jump through hoops, for aetna. Thanks for the enlightenment! PS, I love your pict of the ostrich, reminds me of the wildlife ranch we visited in close to San Antonio!
