Well done Whosya! Glad to hear from you, too. So are you a Packers Fan? You kinda have to be right?

As someone who has been through the C25K Program - can we ask some questions about your running?

How often do you run?

What is your longest distance?

How long can you run without a walk break?

Just wondering.

Nope i moved up here from Philly area so im an Eagles Fan. But im excited for the people around here.

You can ask anthing you like :(

I run 3 - 4 times a weeks sometimes as much as 5. My longest distance is 5K right now...(3 miles).

I run 35 mins without a walk break pretty much everytime.

Mindy I hope you get well soon!!!!

I didn't run again... I spent all day painting my childrens' rooms. I lost half a pound just today. I will be doing week 3 next week so I can put in my time. I still may have to spend an extra week at this level but we'll see once I actually run it.

And LULU - It's stinkin' cold around here!!!! I am freezing right now and it's 70degrees in my house. Me and being outside isn't working so great right now lol

Yea Stranger!!!!!! My DH has done the run and he felt great that he did it (exhausted - but great!).

Howdy all! Mindy - sorry to hear you are down for the count for a while - take care of yourself. the flu and pneumonia have been running rampant down here for about 2 weeks now. I am scared to even shake hands with people at this point.

Welcome Big as Life!

So Tuesday is my birthday (not the news) and went went to Houston for a quick shopping trip (there is nothing in Victoria - still not the news.) I made a stop at Luke's Locker running store and was fitted for a new pair of running shoes. They were awesome at the store. And I ended up in pair of Brooks Dyad 4 - right at 90 after tax.

They feel so awesome. And I found out why my feet sometimes go numb when I am running. The answer is so simple I am flat embarrassed. My shoes were tired too tight!

All of that said, if you have not been to a running store to be fitted, it is well worth the time and money. I learned quite a bit just from the lady who fitted my shoes.

OK - gotta run - really, I am going running in my new hardwear! Here is wishing a great Sunday to all.

Mindy take the time you need to get healthy, no use pushing, to only get sick again..feel better.

I completed wk 3, but will more than likely have to stay here one more, which I'm OK with. DH wants to get going to the gym, and this might be a "pass" on running day - I'm a little sore. I REALLY like the idea of getting fitted for running shoes, maybe I can work that in soon (still hiding the fact of spending $230 this wk on sports bras)..LOL.

Wombat - it was 23 this AM when I let the dogs out. Didn't they say this would be a MILD winter?

Happy Wk 4 (or for me 3 again)!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
