oohhh thanks for the update Mindy! Yeah if you cant keep Water down your really in trouble.

My Doc always makes me drink a cup full right after a fill, i wonder if they did that with her?

I think they did. But My doc always makes me drink water for 30 minutes after each of my fills too and the last 2 I have been too tight, however I dont get too tight until about 3 or 4 days later. So drinking water right after is just an indicators if your too tight right then . I have learned i am sensitive to fills so i get .25 of .50 cc fills now . I cant tolerate 1cc fills. I am also on liquids for 6 days after each fill so by time get to mushies i KNOW im tight if i get stuck . LOL

Anyway , she's hopefully going to feel better soon .

Mindy

The good news of all of it is that yesterday at the doc I weighed 209.6 and today I weighed 207.0. That's great!

He took out 1.5...yeah. He said from now on we'll go .5 at a time. I think that's a good plan, even though it means more fills and more money!!!!

That's okay, it's worth it!

Stranger - glad you are feeling better and super glad you logged fewer lbs!

Welcome ting - your found a great thread. These guys have funny stories, and offer great support and inspiration!

I seem to be playing tag with this silly cold, I had to skip yesterday's gym trip and I am sitting out today for rest. I may try tomorrow depending on how today goes.

I had a cool NSV of sorts yesterday. I visited my PCP for a re-up on my cholesterol meds and something for this cough. Our Ins is a PPO, so he doesn't know a thing about my banding adventure. So, I finally told him about it. For some history, I know him - he is not just my doc. His wife helped found our local Habitat, she still helps me with fund raising, and I have worked with their daughter on a HFH project. Let's just say I was nervous. He was positively giddy! Can't wait to observe the whole process. Wanted to know why I chose LB over GBS. Apparently, I will be his first patient to go the LB route. And here I thought he was going to give me some big "don't do it" speech. That was a big relief.

Ran another week 2 day today  I went outdoors since it was nice here today (low 70's). I have to say it is easier to run on the treadmill now that I have a comparison. It seems to help move me along better.

I'm planning on two days at work and 1 outside (weather permitting).

On to week 3 .... y'all have a great weekend!

Whosya that's INSANE 10K!!!!!!, and then a light swim...you crack me up!

Well I ran yesterday, first time in a wk - tried something different wanted to see how long I could run w/out crashing. Did 16mins straight, but the dang knee still is a pain. Think I might hit the Dr tomorrow, but DH said he might tell me I can't run & I need to be able because the scale must be broken.

Going to do the bike / walk treadmill today - Catch ya'll ltr.

whosya - that is amazing!!!! You're a RockStar!!

lulu - good luck w/ the knee!! Don't push it too much too soon or you'll be out of commission for longer

Mindy - I'm there with you  We CAN get back on track and get this program done! I'm determined to enjoy running by the time I'm done!

Ok - little NSV today. My twin sister has always been smaller than me (ALWAYS) She is one size down from me now and that's already bugging her. Today she asked me for this jogging program and told me how much she weighs - I only weight 8 pounds more than her!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's on a mission now for me not to catch up with her but that's ok ;) I got the band to help me out (hehehehe)

I'm going to do yoga (for the first time) tonight. I bought all the goodies (much to DH's chagrin) so we'll see how it works out!

Have a fabulous Sunday everyone!

No running :cursing:, at least a wk.

Went to Dr. & had xrays *both knees* - looks to be Arthritis, but will know more on Thurs...Having an MRI tomorrow...Doc said take it easy w/weights and running for a wk because there is some inflamation.....No idea what the fix will be???

My mom has Rheumatoid Arthritis and didn't catch it till her late 50's, and now her little feet are held together w/pins. She's tiny = 4'11, 95lbs wet.....SO I get your fantastic NSV Wombat, having a tiny Mom!..Congrats to you..

So I'm not giving up - on a tad of a break, this wk only..HA!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
