Nsv!!!! I Did It!!!!

Recommended Posts

I have not exercised since being banded, and today I walked almost 2 miles. (pushing a double stroller). I have used the babies as an excuse, but no more. My DH and I loaded up and went to the track. He and my 9 year old road bikes while I pushed the babies in the stroller. It felt SO good to be outside and active. We plan to do this together as a family each evening when he gets home from work. We all had a great time!!

Way to go girl! I started out exercising really good, but since the holidays I just haven't been motivated. I've got to get back on track. I even got an elliptical after Thanksgiving, I think I've used it about 5 times :).

Great NSV! Keep up the great work!

Thanks,

I also got my 4th fill today, and I have MAJOR restriction. WOOHOOO!!!! Maybe a little too tight, but I know there may be some swelling from the fill, so we will see. I had trouble keeping a milkshake down today. I know, I don't need a milk shake. Anyway, so glad to finally have good restriction. 2008 here I come. I have a band and I'm not afraid to use it!! LOL

That's good. I've had 3 fills and I do have some restriction, not as much as I would like though. I hope you've hit your sweet spot.

Ohyeah, I also lost 3 pounds over Christmas without restriction.!!

That's awesome! You're doing great!

Same here, haven't exercised since my band was put in. Started Dec 31, got that oh so nice muscle pain from lifting weights. I also have a mini trampoline. Oh and I'm moving, so I'm hauling boxes up and down stairs!

Good for you! I wish that it was warm enough here to go walking...it is FREEZING (although we are expected to get into the 40's). I am hoping to get my clearance to work out on Tuesday...I was banded 12/12.

It was warm. This morning it was 16 degrees. TOO COLD!!! I haven't waked in a couple of days because of the cold, but it is supposed to warm up tommorow, and I will be back at it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
