Here is a funny question to post band ppl

Recommended Posts

I know this is going to sound strange asking this, but hubby mentions it alot so I figured I'd ask. This question is mainly for women to answer....If you exercise enough with weights and try like hell to keep from them sagging...did you lose your breasts??? I mean I like my breast just want them just a little bit smaller but NOT complete gone......I had a breast reduction at age 20 so I would like to get them back down to that low size C that they were after the swelling went down...LOL :guess

blessings and waiting for responses!! I figured we could all use a laugh..I've had a bad day all around today!! :ranger:

I think a lot of that depends on if your breasts are mostly dense tissue or fatty tissue and how much bigger your breasts have gotten from your thin size to your fat size.

Once they shrink back down to their "normal" size the problem is the excess skin.

At my thinnest I was a b cup and now I'm a D cup, so my skin will be a D but the inside will become a B again.

I have a bad feeling, they are going to look like long athletic socks with tennis balls hanging inside.

Thank goodness for Bras.

I have actually gone up in cup size, while going down several band sizes. I began in a tight 46--loose 48 DD. Now I am in a 38 DDD if I can find it. Some DD's still fit, but the difference in band size and the fullest part of the bust has changed a lot!

They are not nearly as perky as they used to be--------but at 47 I never expected they would be. Not something I plan to "fix" at this stage though.

But did they go away? Nope! I think shortgal is right, it is dependent on what your breast tissue is made up of, if you were flat chested prior to gaining weight....that kind of thing.

LOL Shortgirl, I joke that I went from a 46DD to a 38 Long!

I think you will lose back and side fat.... I can wear smaller bra's now but it is mainly the fat loss in those areas.... I have a Victoria Secret underwire push up shaper and HOLY COW it takes my flabby boobs and REALLY makes them stand at attention...... DH REALLY likes it

I'm freaked too. I had a breast reduction before my lapband. (I'd already given up on ever losing weight) I was a 34C when I was thin, Now (after weight gain breast reduction) I'm a 42D. I hope I have something left when the weights gone.

Hilarious!! that was a good laugh about the tennis balls in the socks-!!!I've not been banded and am going through the 90 day diet/exercise thing, have completed 30 days and am going for appt 2 on Jan 17-is the excess skin worth being skinny? Is there a way to make it go away non surgical?

Oh hell yeah in my opinion!!! When I was at my heaviest, I looked like hell in clothes or out of them. Now in a size 12-14 I look ok in clothes.....out of them is still pretty yucky---so TT here I come, get the rest of this weight off, and it is a goner!!

This is not even considering all the health benefits of having the weight off.

Definitely worth it----100% sure of that!

Welcome to LBT, good luck on your upcoming surgery!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
