oh, i didn't realize you were asking all at once -- but yeah, they do that stuff in the US i'm relatively sure -- they've had stuff on the news about "mommy makeovers" lately, which is the same concept... all over PS

I see. I would love to have it all done at once. I am probably getting the cart before the horse. I have to lose the rest of the weight first, but it doesn't hurt to look ahead and dream.

I'm planning on loosing another 25-35 lbs prior to surgery,

I've started core strength training and a yoga class.

I walk 4 miles a day if the weather permits if not 35 mins on the treadmill and 15 on the cross country trainer. I will be a strong as I can be before I do this. If it means pushing it back a few months till my body is ready I will do that as well. I hate to exercise!

It sucks every time I have to do it. LOL I hate it, But the results are the kicking curves I'm finding under the fat AND I don't float in the hot tub anymore. :omg:

From other posts I have seen most Doctors in the US will not do that many procedures at once. I did meet two plastic surgeons in Reno who are partners and specialize in weight loss patients. They operate together so that they can do more procedures with less time under anesthesia. When I lose my weight I will probably go to them because I like the two for one idea!

I had heard of this being done all at once- but only with unfavorable results. How often does your doc do this much at one time? Did he show pics of his patients? I'm all for it, if it is safe, and turns out great results. Can you post more specifics about your procedure? I thought a 360* was a "true LBL " for front and back but nothing else (only lower body). I did not think this included any arms or breasts. I will/do need alot of this done Please feed me information! Will you be one who posts pics? THANK YOU and good luck.

Well, I don't have a lapband, but when I lost 112 lbs with WW 3 years ago I had a lower body lift, arms, thighs and mons. A 360 is the lower body lift, it is a Tummy Tuck that goes completely around your body. They pull and cut the excess skin, so if you have a lot of excess on your back or baggy skin under your butt cheeksthey can pull the excess skin up and down. I would 100% do this all over again, even though I have gained most of the weight back. It has changed my shape, even heavy again I have a flat stomach, I don't have to tuck my skin into my underwear and pants. I had the other surgeries done( arms, thighs, and mons) together about 9 months later. The lower body lift alone took me out of life for about 9 weeks, the other surgies about 5-6 weeks. If there is someone out there willing to do all of this at the same time, I would RUN scrwaming fom them. That is not safe. The lower body lift took almost 6 hours, that is pushing it enough. I was whiney with the plastics guy about wanting to get it all done at the same time. There is no way, each part alone was bad enough, recovery wise. Let me know if you have questions, as you can see I am willing to share...:(

Wow, some of you seem a bit judgemental. I had plastic surgery 12 years ago: Breast lift/augmentation plus a bi-lateral thigh/buttock lift and mini-tummy tuck (cut all the way around, but only a bit of extra skin removed below the belly button), and quite a bit of Lipo. I was in great shape before surgery, and pretty much back to normal within a month. Unfortunately, I regained the weight, plus more, but with the help of my band, I'm at goal once again, and have been maintaining for several months now.

I'm scheduled 2/15 for all of the above, plus more. I'm getting a lower body lift, breast lift with implant replacement, laser lipo, port replacement, and a medial thigh lift (if surgery doesn't run too long). My surgeon is confident in his approach, and is well-respected in the surgical community. He is a pioneer of endoscopic (minimally invasive) plastic surgery, and teaches other doctors how to do it. He also does the newer laser lipo, which is much less traumatic on the body.

So, yes, there *are* doctors who take a more comprehensive approach, and it doesn't mean they are irresponsible!

I truly hope my post wasn't misunderstood. If so, I apologize.

I am certainly not trying to be taken as judgmental... or implying that these docs are irresponsible.

I have only seen/heard of one person ,with a similar procedure. The outcome from that personal experience was devastating.

I am hopeful that any PS will go great, with wonderful recovery and fantastic results.

I too want, and need all of this work done -in time- and who wouldn't want it done all at once?

I, in fact, was requesting far more information about all of this, as I may consider this when I am closer to my goal. NO judging here.

If I gave off a negative impression I am very sorry. Good luck to all in weight loss and PS journeys.

I have strong feelings and a lot of negative experience from patients when large surgeries are done overseas or in Mexico and there is no long term followup.

The latest techniques are pioneered right here in the U.S. because we have the obesity/weight loss population that requires these advanced techniques.

Add to that you have no insurance coverage, no legal protection, an invalid implant warranty, and limited long-term followup and you have a "ticket to trouble" in my opinion.

Best wishes,

I am a registered nurse and I can tell you that most plastic surgeons will not do that surgery in one sitting. No one should be under anesthesia for more than 4 hours especially for elective surgery. Your taking a big risk for what could be a 10-12 hour surgery with a guy out of the country. That is a far cry from getting lapband done. Check this out thoroughly its a huge surgery.

I was banded by Lopez as well. Everytime I visit there I pass by so many Cosmetic Sx sites. Where is the one you are looking into? Do you happen to have a website? If I were you, I'd ask Dr. Carmen where to go. She seems pretty sharp and I'd trust her opinion. (for those of you who don't know who Dr. Carmen is, she works along side with Dr. Lopez) ~ Do they do any cosmetic sx in Hospital Angeles? I still have 30 more pounds to lose and I want to be at goal with 1 solid year of exercise under my belt (haha) before I have the actual surgery. But, I'd like to start researching now too. Let me know what else you find out! Thanks!

Hi All,

I've been really busy the last 3 weeks. Work is booming.

Did any one see Opra yesterday? She had band patients on.

OK about me.

I started with the trainer yesterday and the yoga teacher will be next week. I will be strong when I do this.

I hope to hear from you guys soon . I miss the interaction. :)

g'day

nancy

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
