Hurting/burning by belly button

I had MGB a week ago and all and all I feel good BUT.. when I go to sit up from laying down, stand up or even sit up straight all the way it burns about 2 inches to the left of my belly button. BAD. It feels like something is going to rip apart. I don’t have any incisions there either. Has anyone else experienced this? TIA

Sorry you're feeling some pain.

I would strongly advise you to talk to your surgical team. While the likelihood is this is not anything bad, the smart thing is to talk to a medical professional and let them evaluate you just to be safe. Even if someone else had the exact same surgery as you and had similar symptoms, there's no guarantee that you both are experiencing the exact same problem.

I definitely had some burning in and around my incision the first week when changing certain positions. It goes away, but please check with your surgeon.

Could be pulled muscles from the surgery, healing discomfort, internal stitches pulling, …As @SpartanMaker suggested it may be something others haven’t experienced so better to be sure and check in with your usual doctor if you can’t contact your surgical team.
