I just want to share my excitement, I got my reminder text for my breast augmentation and lift appointment next week! In 3 short weeks I will have new bewbs. Mostly I am excited about having more confidence in myself and my shirts looking like they fit and not baggy off my chest.

Well not sure I am getting anything yet but in my email to the clinic I asked for the appointment to discuss "cosmetic surgery following significant weight loss, in particular breast surgery" so will see what the dr says.

If I do get anything I would only be doing what is covered by the national health coverage, not paying out of my own pocket. I would love a legs and arms as they are what I am most self conscious of but I know that they are painful and after all the post sleeve complications I had I am hesitant (verging on scared) to do anything.

I'm so excited when US bariatric hotties do something HOT for ourselves! I'm with ya consult Jan 2nd. I'm shooting for some big Full C's medium profile with silicone. I got tons of pics of boobs in my phone ha. What size are you going?

@FifiLux I don't blame you! I would be hesitant as well, I say start with what you want the most then work your way around :) let us know what you get!

@Mspretty86 I am wanting a full DD Gummy bear implant with a medium high profile with a breast lift. I am tall and have broad shoulders, so I am trying to find pictures of similar body types and that size seems to look good and not outrageous. But I want to have big boobs LOL I miss mine so much and want them back! But I am also 35 with 3 kids and I want to be able to dress them down when I need to. So I know the consultation is going to tell me a lot about what looks good!

Are you in the UK? I am and I was told that the NHS doesn't do any cosmetic surgery after weight loss unless it's causing a health problem. I really hope that they can do something for you if you want.

No, Luxembourg. Here it is covered but you have to meet certain conditions like significant weight loss, loss has stablised and then the doctor submits a report to the health service. I figure I will go and see what he says, the cost of the consultation is 90% refundable so nothing really to lose.

Oh that's really good. I'm going to have to start saving up. It's mostly my arms that are really starting to get baggy.

Had my pre-op and it was A LOT! I was there for 2.5hours and I know that the surgeon has to be clinical with speaking about what is possible or not. It ended up being a little bit more money due to needing an Internal bra. He said that with the weight gain, weight loss, and breastfeeding two children my skin is thin and without the internal bra he would not do the surgery as the implant would move and be unsuccessful. I am getting 495cc high profile, he said this size would get the size that I want and he feels good about this size healing and looking good. He is one of the best of the best and has been doing this for over 35yrs so I trust him but it was a long appointment and being told that I needed extra things to make this successful because my skin sucked just was shitty to hear and hard when I pick apart myself every single day (which I know is not healthy).

Now that the appointment is over and I had a day to stew- I am confident that I will look how I want and getting excited to get them done in 17days!

If he is one of the best of the best well then it sounds like he would not steer you wrong with what is best for you. You could have gone to another doctor who wouldn't mention an internal bra and then there is the possibility that you would pay them less but be back for costly follow ups if there was movement.

If you can afford it, it is better to get the job done right and be happy with your doctor.

Plus your skin does not suck. You, and your kids (and partner ;) ) got good use out of them over the years I am sure :) Please try not to be so hard on yourself.

New year, new boobies.

Thank you for saying that! ❤️

I met with other doctors and no others have mentioned it, what brings me some peace is that he told me he would not operate at all if I didn't get the internal bra because the implants would move and there would be no chance for them. So for him to decline my service if I didn't get the internal bra showed me this wasn't a money grab but he wants to put out good work.

My hubby keeps tell me that you sometimes we have to pay for the quality, and your absolutely right, cheaper isnt always better and if they move then it would be more money down the road! so we paid for the extra and my surgery is still set on the 30th.

Body Dysmorphia sucks! I really thought once I lost all this weight I would love what I see but I am still so hyper critical.

Yes, it sounds to me like you have a good one. As you say he was prepared to turn away your business so it means he is not just looking to upgrade his home cinema system or whatever by just doing a by the book boob job, he cares :)

I know what you mean about body dysmorphia. I mean I have lost almost as much weight as I weigh now and yet I still a lot of the time see fat me in the mirror and I hate it at the gym when I have to be in front of a mirror for some of the exercises. Other times then I hate the skinny me as I don't like being able to see my chest and rib bones and the way my hips now stick out. We are never happy with ourselves all the time, just have to try and remember what we have achieved and be kind to ourselves.

@FifiLux the skinnyness gets me too! I weight lift and my veins are insane, I should lift lighter and just chill out but then I keep thinking that I am going to go back to what I was if I stop. Or if I eat a cookie I think I will gain all my weight back. Its a mind eff for sure!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
