I haven't had that pulsing sensation, but it seems it's not un common, if you're concerned, maybe talk to your surgeon.

I am 4 days post surgery, and I really feel amazingly good! No problems at all, touch wood!

Not having any hunger, am spending all day just sipping little cups of this or that lol but managing well with it!

From my home scales pre - post surgery I have lost 1.8 kg in 4 days! From hospital scales I was higher prior, but they weighed with shoes, clothes etc.

SW 110 kg / 242 lb

SDW 104.8 kg / 231 lb (Hospital 106.2 234.1)

CW 103 kg / 227 lb

Im a 51 year old, 183 kg male and have an op on the 29th. I do hope this helps me , as all I can see at the minute is a growing hate for milk and worries about how I will eat during the recovery phases. Also worried as my NHS trust in the UK is in the headlines for being overwhelmed..

Hello everyone. I'm 2 years post-op and was sleeved on 01/06/2023. I'm at goal and have been for awhile. I just wanted to pop in and say that I have no regrets. For the first time in 20 years, I am HEALTHY. Bariatric surgery is just a tool though, you have to follow your plan to see results and you HAVE to work on the "head hunger" because that doesn't go away with surgery. However, if you do your part. You will be pleased with the results. It feels wonderful to be on the "other side" of weight loss and maintaining. Best of luck!

Sleeved yesterday. Awful pain at first but pain killers and a hot pack helped a lot. Plus sleep! I’ve just been woken up with a tray of Brekky. Bacon, eggs, toast. Nah just kidding it’s yogurt, Protein Water, Optifast, milk and some sort of juice (I think) . And been told I can get the cannula out of my arm, which drove me mad all night, when I’ve drunk 1litre. Here we go!

I'm scheduled for a gastric bypass on January 30. Excited but nervous too!

Yeah I know the feeling! Concentrate on the excitement and your new future. That’s what I’m trying to do. I had a moment in the anaesthetic bay yesterday when I wondered if I was doing the right thing but one second later I woke up in recovery!

PoppyVelvet, I've come back to your post several times as I've been on the pre-op diet preparing for my surgery. Thinking of you and wondering how you're doing ??
