What I don't like is men eyeballing me while they are with their significant other or on a date. I find it highly disrespectful. Lately, while I'm out and about, I have caught women checking me out. Looking to see what their man is looking at. I usually won't even acknowledge him but will smile kindly at the woman. More times than not she returns the smile. It's like a mutual knowing of how f'd up it is. LOL

On the other hand, my man enjoys the attention I get. Which is refreshing since I've had some really jealous BFs in the past. In my pre-obesity days. I think he thinks I make him look good. Kinda like arm candy. Hahaa!

LMAO my husband is the complete opposite, he hates it when men stare and I can tell he stares back at the men looking all "WTF you looking at" HAHA.

Mr. always thought/thinks its funny and found/finds opportunities to get a laugh out of it.

the first year or so after wls, we'd go to parties/weddings/whatever where some family members or friends haven't seen me in a while and didn't recognize me. Mr. would pretend he didn't know me and come up to a group im in and out-flirt the flirters, or plant a big kiss or grope on me in front of them and say let's get outta here, and tell the others if ms.sss is looking for him, tell her you didn't see me. that bit didn't last for very long after everyone we knew finally saw the smaller me again. but it was hilarious while it lasted.

a couple years ago i did a fun boudoir photoshoot for my 50th bday. Mr. used one of pictures as his phone's home screensaver for a while. he'd leave his phone on the counter when out and about and people would never fail to say something either in appreciation (for the hot pic, or for his audacity and freedom to put random hot women on his phone) or their disgust (for his audacity to disrespect me so to put random hot women on his phone). sometimes he'd eventually tell them it was me, sometimes no. either way he'd have a laugh.

here's aforementioned pic he used. this was taken a couple years ago on for my 50th bday...

I find the underpinnings of sexual attraction interesting from an evolutionary/biological perspective. Did you know that there is an ideal hip to waist ratio that indicates sexual attractiveness and can also predict health outcomes? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waist–hip_ratio

There are so many studies of these types biological reasons of attraction, I just don’t take it personally anymore. In fact I say thank you, but keep going about my business.

Thanks for posting! I don't want to make excuses for my fellow males, but a lot of this is definitely hard-wired.

In addition to what was posted here already, don't forget the impact of testosterone. This hormone does a lot of things, but it absolutely has a strong influence on desire for sex. My point is again not to make excuses, but any healthy heterosexual male is absolutely going to look at an attractive woman. What they SHOULDN'T do is catcall, or randomly proposition someone. That sort of behavior is NOT okay.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
