I have lost about 25 lbs but I always lose up top before bottom, so I have noticed my shirts getting looser but that’s about it. 🤞🏼it happens soon! It will happen before you know it!! I’m the opposite of you. I lose it in my bottom before my top. So I’m buying new bottoms and wearing my same tops still. Honestly, I think that I was wearing my tops too tight back when I started so that’s why it’s taking me a little longer to size out of them. It actually does get quite expensive when you start needing new bras and undies and everything else all at once. I think that’s why the veterans suggest not to buy too much that won’t fit you a month later I’m mostly shopping at thrift stores for now and saving money for when I get to the smaller sizes and it’s really fun. Of course, if budget permits go crazy shopping is fun when things actually fit 3 Chatterboxdea, Bypass2Freedom and Arabesque reacted to this

I think clothing is one of those things that we don’t necessarily notice getting baggy until suddenly one day you realise your shirt doesn’t look right and looks huge I’m actually considering buying 2 different sizes of work clothes so i can just switch to the next size down without having to search for entirely new outfits I went clothes shopping today and spent so long trying things on and have come to the conclusion i had absolutely no idea what size i was - i’ve actually bought clothing in a smaller size than i expected 😱 feels so good ! And kind of even better that i hadn’t seen that coming It’s actually given me a huge motivation boost so i highly recommend window shopping and trying things on to anyone who feels like their weightloss isn’t noticeable to them 4 Chatterboxdea, Bypass2Freedom, Arabesque and 1 other reacted to this

It will happen soon don't worry so don't spend a lot of sizing down as I have found that I buy something and then a few weeks later it is too big already. Buy cheap if needed, belts have been great. 4 summerseeker, Arabesque, Bypass2Freedom and 1 other reacted to this

I thought that but the waist would need to be taken in, the legs taken in and possibly some work done on the bum area so probably not worth it. 1 1 Bypass2Freedom and ShoppGirl reacted to this

Not buying them at the same time but things that I ordered on Amazon like athletic pants or this one style of the top that I like because it doesn’t show sweat as bad.when I was always sweating. Well, I just go on there and order the same exact thing in the smaller size.. it does make it a great deal easier because you already know that you like the cut and style.. Then again with each size we drop opens more opportunity in terms of what cuts are available so maybe I won’t do that as much. Maybe every other size at least we should try things on. I do try a lot of things on from the thrift store to find new cuts though. Usually they are cheap enough that I’ll just bring them home and wash them then if I don’t like them, I will just donate them back to next time. There have been times when I have found something that I really love and even though it’s new to me, someone else had it for a long time so it’s no longer available except for a ridiculous price may be on eBay or one of the newer clothing sites. Many years ago (after a Jenny Craig diet) I had a few things taken in but they never fit right after. If you’re dropping down anything more than a bare single size, they really need to take the whole item apart and recut everything which is not always easy or inexpensive to do. Unless it’s something with just straight side seams, a simple waist band & is sleeveless, it’s not an easy fix. PS. I should have saved my money back then because of course I regained the weight I’d lost then & had to buy new clothes again. So glad to be off that rollercoaster now. 1 FifiLux reacted to this
FifiLux 498 Posted October 18, 2024 I'll be home in Ireland this weekend so may get the chance to fit a bit more shopping in at M&S in person rather than online has I have had to do over the last year. 2 Arabesque and NeonRaven8919 reacted to this
