I am two and a half weeks post SADI and I still have pain when I use my ab muscles or even lightly press near my incisions. I read somewhere that the bloating can take like 6 weeks to go away completely. Are you using ice. I was allowed to use them but warned no more than 20 minutes at a time so I set an alarm. Mine isn’t that bad at this point and I do not have any cramping but I’m not 100% back to normal either. If it’s bad I would run it by your team since they know what questions to ask to make sure it’s okay. If you have a patient portal it’s probably the best way to get to describe exactly what your issue is. Edited August 26, 2024 by ShoppGirl
Arabesque 7,417 Posted August 26, 2024 Remember it takes around 6 - 8 weeks to be fully healed so still experiencing some discomfort, spasms, cramping, etc. isn’t uncommon. However, if the pain requires medication, is increasing in frequency or intensity, contact your surgeon or go to your nearest medical centre to be sure everything is okay. Or just contact them to check. 1 ShoppGirl reacted to this
shon74 119 Posted October 17, 2024 I’m going through the same right now, I can’t eat or drink anything without the cramping. Calling my team in the morning. I can’t even work. I feel full and feel like I have to go to the bathroom or vomit. 1 Arabesque reacted to this

If you call it may be an option for the on call surgeon if they didn’t give you a direct number. If you can’t even drink Water and it’s keeping you from work that sounds urgent to me. How long since you have kept down any liquids? Were you able to keep down liquids at first and now you can’t? I assume they wouldn’t have released you from hospital if you weren’t drinking fluids. How far out from surgery are you. I don’t see any information on your profile. Edited October 17, 2024 by ShoppGirl
