Like ive been eating more than usual and im always hungry on this period. Is this normal? Lol I have always had more cravings on my period. I have an IUD now and don’t bleed so it’s kinda hard to pinpoint but before surgery and post sleeve I always at least wanted to eat more fat and sugar. Try to satisfy it with healthy alternatives is really all you can do that i know of.
Arabesque 7,417 Posted August 19, 2024 I used to crave carbs. Could easily eat a loaf of bread if I let myself. Thank goodness I don’t experience that anymore & didn’t post surgery. One blessing of menopause. 1 SleeveToBypass2023 reacted to this
SleeveToBypass2023 2,650 Posted August 19, 2024 I don't have a period anymore, but since I had my hysterectomy and went on hormones, I seem to ALWAYS be hungry!!! It's crazy. I can eat, feel full, and still feel hungry at the same time. It's like my brain isn't getting the message that I'm not hungry anymore or something. When I WAS getting periods, I noticed I craved salty foods a lot. I've never really had a sweet tooth, but salty, greasy, fried foods were my weakness. And period weeks were the WORST for that, for sure.

I threw up and had loose stool this morning😔😔😔. I have to be careful 2 JennyBeez and SleeveToBypass2023 reacted to this

Way more than I have ever ever ever ate, even though I grazed on fruit, sugar free candy, popsicles, yasso poppables, I didnt even eat crappy foods so that's disappointing hahaha but I did learn that I cannot graze but I never feel full. That will be how I gain my weight so I need to make sure I sit and eat my food in one sitting. 1 JennyBeez reacted to this
learn2cook 588 Posted August 19, 2024 I used to have 7-9 day periods with very heavy flow and monster Migraines. I should’ve seen a doctor or nurse practitioner. I was chronically Iron deficient and would crave large quantities of chocolate with almond in it. When I finally got tested because I got pregnant, I needed iron, b Vitamins and magnesium. So, I’m hoping you don’t think “everyone is like me.”Please get checked out, and follow up on your intuition. Your cravings could be your body’s way of telling you it needs a Vitamin or mineral. (Dark chocolate with almonds is chock full of magnesium.) The follow up was that I did miscarry but it was a wake up call to take care of myself. If you have a heavy/long flow and malabsorption issues you might need more vitamins and minerals than normally recommended. It will ease your monthly symptoms and cravings significantly. (Also follow your plan of Protein first to minimize glucose spikes. The spikes and drops greatly increase cravings even in non diabetics.-Glucose Goddess) 2 JennyBeez and Arabesque reacted to this
