  • 50% of bypass patients reach at least 166 lbs 18 months after surgery. Based on my starting weight of 271.

I'm coming up on my 12 month surgery anniversary (Aug 21st) and I'm already below this statistic as of today! I even did a happy dance (my pups thought I was nuts). 😆

I'm hoping with 6 months until 18 months that I'll be in this category:

  • 20% of patients reach 149 lbs 18 months after surgery.

If the above isn't enough, I met up with another friend I haven't seen in 6 months for Breakfast this morning, she walked right past me twice looking for me!

Where did you find this calculator. I’m curious where I stand. I’m guessing I will bade to do it for Bypass and DS and pick the middle but maybe they will have the SADI.

This site is pretty cool. Doesn’t have my surgery yet but that’s not entirely surprising. Thanks.

You're welcome! Yeah, I noticed that. I did read somewhere that with a SADI you can subtract an additional 5-10 lb loss on top of an RNY. Not always guaranteed but usually equal to an RNY.

Tonight was my first exercise. I just walked around the neighborhood for 30 minutes but it’s a start.

Okay so tonight was night two of my walking exercise and I got only two minutes down the road and it started to rain. I turned around and made it just before it poured. Well I’m the past that would’ve been a perfect excuse for me to not do it and a couple more things like that and it never would have become a habit but not tonight. I stayed in my clothes and kept checking outside until It slowed to a sprinkle again and went and did my other 25 minutes.

aside: when i was bigger, i would not go rock climbing or any sort of clasped-in activity because i was embarrassed to put the harness on and have my abundant a$$ in full-squeezed-out glory on display to the masses below

now, i love this harness cuz it gives me a free BBL lol:

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.

I'm so sorry. I lost my pup (Mr. Bitters - a chocolate Pomeranian) 2 years ago and it still makes me tear up. He was my everything - my constant companion. I understand. Do the best you can to get back on track.
