I feel the same, it's so weird to look down at my lap and see that I have one!!!!! I look in the mirror and see a normal sized person. My pants are tiny, I keep thinking there's no way I'll get those on. It's a lot to adjust to so quickly.

How very amazing! Honestly, 6 months after surgery it's very likely you will lose much more OP. Is there any reason that you wouldn't want to?

I am a firm believer in our body selecting its own goal weight after WLS. Loads of us here want to get to a randomly selected end point that we'd be happy with, but find that either we can't make it, or alternatively that we overshoot it. I was one of the latter people.

I have regained 8 lbs in the last 8 months (which is common in the third year) but I've levelled out now and I am so glad that I stuck to my programme and kept losing those few extra pounds rather than taking my foot off the gas when I got to my (arbitrary) goal.

Welcome to your new life. In a couple of years you'll be glad you used your weight loss tool to the max while it's in its honeymoon phase!

I am not preventing more weight loss however I am not a fan of how thin I am right now. I work out to build muscle but I like being curvy and I am looking pretty flat now lol I felt really good and *think* I looked good at about 175-180 Not that I don't feel good where I am at, but I am would okay with where I am at. My surgeon said that same lol

But like you said I am not letting my foot off the gas, still working out 6days a week, tracking my food and prioritizing Protein which I plan to do for the rest of my life.

Thank you I am loving joining this new life!

@AmberFL In all your exercising have you found that your arms are firming up, if they were flabby before?

Just looking for some tips as they remain a problem area for me and doing arm weights at home (mix between 1.5kg and 3kg) a few days a week for some reps doesn't seem to be making any inroads. My legs are always going to be a problem area for me because of lymphedema but that just stops me wearing shorts or a short dress leaving me still with plenty of options but having to keep my arms covered all the time (because I hate my arms) is a pain.

I am flabby pre and post surgery lol! My thighs hang a lot, no matter how much I have been working out, they aren't firming up so that is going to be something surgery will only fix, I still have wings...more like mini wings LOL but the working out has helped A TON! You can see the mini wings and the wrinkles LOL! but I am not embarrassed by them. The only thing is that they super wrinkly if I am doing push ups and just the skin is hanging hahaha I definitely suggest even light lifting.

Hon, I think you're the only one who sees wings and wrinkles there. You're frickin' stacked. ❤️

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.
