UltraGeek 0 Posted December 24, 2007 My hunger started coming back last night and today it is here with a vengence. I am on liquids until 1/4/08 and I don't know if I could last. My stomach gurgling and gas seems to be a 100% improvement from yestarday. So far I have been eating SF Jello, Protein Shakes and Water. I wish I could be on mushies! Any advice? -UG

~Sheila~ 0 Posted December 24, 2007 UG, Im on liquid's for 4 weeks. My dr says if you feel hungry, drink some warm broth or warm tea.. Good luck..this is hard, i know.
C.N. 0 Posted December 24, 2007 UG you can do this. It will get easier day by day. Think of your band - it can't handle anything but the liquids. I would be making sure I was getting 50-60 g of Protein everyday. Isopure found at Vitamin Center and elsewhere contains 40 g/160 cal. I pour it over ice to dilute it a bit. The only flavor I am familiar with is the blue raspberry. It is good. I agree with the warm drink - tea is so good and calming. Good luck. C.N.
HeavyHeartland 0 Posted December 25, 2007 Don't forget about sugar-free popcicles. Although they count as a liquid, that chewing sensation can really help you get full. My doctor said I could have as many as I wanted and I helped myself to them. They are cheap at Wal-Mart.

Ultrageek - i know it's gotta be tough, but you can do it. anchor that band in place and heal properly. try upping your Protein and maybe a tad additional fat to keep you fuller longer. good luck, you can do it! destiny79 0 Posted December 26, 2007 I seriously doubt that a tablespoon of tuna in the second or third week will kill someone or harm there lapband process. I do understand every Dr. is different, and that makes it all another reason why I know it want hurt I was on soft soilds after 7 days my coworker after 5 days. Like I said in my post earlier Dr. are concern that people will over eat in the early stages and that's why they require liquid diets for different length on times (pre Dr. Marsden) I am not DUMB I know tuna is not a liquid DAM!!! losingjusme 12 Posted December 26, 2007 well damn, i have Marsden too and i seriously doubt he'd agree with one of his patients advising someone else that a little tuna wouldnt do harm. unless i missed the MD after your name?
UltraGeek 0 Posted December 26, 2007 I have been eating Cream of Mushroom Soup. My Dr said to mix it with some non-fat milk to make it a little watery than normal. He also said I can have juice - just to becareful of all the additional sugar added. So I had a Protein shake (Naked Juice). -UG
