ShoppGirl 5,003 Posted November 10, 2024 Guys I think we should make it a point to check in at least once a month when we get further out. Like on our surgery date, maybe. 2 Chatterboxdea and Hiddenroses reacted to this

I feel like I was in a funk last week and really struggled with motivation to do anything, so I pretty much just worked and blobbed at home. Today is a new week though and maybe I can steal some of your motivation to get up and move my body! 2 ShoppGirl and Hiddenroses reacted to this

Even 15 minutes is good for your health and probably enough endorphins to snap you out of the funk. But if you do have an off week it’s not the end of the world either. It’s what we do like 95% of the time that counts. 1 Chatterboxdea reacted to this

I feel like I was in a funk last week and really struggled with motivation to do anything, so I pretty much just worked and blobbed at home. Today is a new week though and maybe I can steal some of your motivation to get up and move my body! I'm so relieved to see that I'm not the only one flagging here and there. I was doing great up until about midway through last week, going on my walks and trying not to look at the scale because I REALLY wanted to see it tick from just above 300 down into the 290s - finally I weighed in and was SO frustrated that I sat at like, 301 for several days. I'm still there now, too. Another thing - I had bought a pair of size 22 jeans and they fit great so I bought a couple pairs of size 24 I found at a thrift store and was heartbroken when they didn't fit! I'm coaching myself as to the reality that the size 22 I'd bought were super wide leg all the way up vs the ones from the thrift store that were more 'fitted' - being the reason they didn't go up over my thighs. I can see the 'bat wings' on my arms, constantly am having to shift my rings around, and am losing in my back/bum area but my thighs are still my problem. I looked up some exercises I have been trying to do to promote a strong core and hopefully reduce visible belly fat/ excess skin in the thighs and arms, but I backed off some on my exercise over the weekend for sure. Per my Fitbit my average is still high, but I feel awful if I don't get in at least 5k steps per day now. I know I'm getting ready to start my period any day so HOPEFULLY after this comes and goes my weight will have another significant drop. @Justarwaxx and @ShoppGirl - You are both doing so great! It's always nice to pop back on here and see your updates 2 Chatterboxdea and ShoppGirl reacted to this

It's always nice to pop back on here and see your updates Hey there! I can completely relate to what you’re going through, and I know how frustrating it can feel when the scale doesn’t budge, especially when you’re so close to a big milestone! I think it's amazing that you’ve been dedicated to your walks and keeping your steps up—it takes real commitment. And it’s okay if sometimes we have to step back a bit. It’s part of the process! About those jeans: don’t get too discouraged! Sizing can be so inconsistent, especially when comparing brands or different styles. It’s not always a reflection of your progress. I’ve found the same thing, where one pair fits perfectly, and another, even a size up, just doesn’t feel right. It’s like each pair has its own personality! I can imagine it’s hard seeing changes in some areas and not in others, but trust that these changes are happening, even if they seem slower in places like the thighs. You’re noticing progress in areas like your rings and arms—each bit adds up, and your consistency will pay off. Your body might just be holding a little extra Water as you approach your period too, so hang in there! Once it passes, the scale could reflect all that hard work you’ve been putting in. You’ve got this, and it sounds like you’re handling it so well. Just remember, each day adds to your progress, even when it doesn’t feit.like it. 2 1 Hiddenroses, ShoppGirl and Chatterboxdea reacted to this

It’s not all about being perfect all the time. Someone told me if we get it right like 95% of the time we’re gonna be fine. My loss is slowing down some but I’m going by how I feel now, not what the scale says. Would i love to be in the typical skinny fit body, of course but just being able to do things and have energy is still pretty incredible. Keep on trucking. We’ve got this. 2 Hiddenroses and Chatterboxdea reacted to this

Try to think of a few things they would enjoy that would get you all moving your bodies and it will be good for all of you. 2 1 Hiddenroses, Chatterboxdea and Justarwaxx reacted to this

It's always nice to pop back on here and see your updates I bought some size 20 pants before my surgery to get me through until I could fit back into my 18s and I couldn't wear them because they were too small. They fit now that I have lost 30 lbs, but my 18s are now too big. Sizing is just funky and terrible! Don't be discouraged! 1 ShoppGirl reacted to this

If you ever look at a size chart closely they do not make nearly as many sizes in between as the inches go down or up for plus size and they are soooooool inconsistent from one brand to the next. I didn’t even really know what size I was in numbers because of the inconsistencies and I gave up on clothes that are sized like that for the longest time. Honestly, just pay attention to how your clothes are fitting better and how you feel and ingots that highly inaccurate number. 1 Chatterboxdea reacted to this
Justarwaxx 242 Posted November 19, 2024 Everyone ok? Checking in! I've been busy with my morning workouts 💪 We have a 4 day break including the weekend celebrating national day. I wanted to not do anything but I feel if I stop the momentum, restarting would be harder so I'll try my best to still do morning workouts these 4 days. Even just 1 hr on the treadmill. I'll go wed thu and Saturday Friday will be a pool day! 2 Chatterboxdea and ShoppGirl reacted to this
Chatterboxdea 202 Posted November 19, 2024 I need to get back on working out; I have been slacking. I'm doing okay food wise though so that's good. I just got my bloodwork done so I'm waiting to hear back on how all my levels are since surgery. I had my first cookie and first small glass of wine this week at a baby shower; it was nice to feel more normal again, but also not go crazy. 1 ShoppGirl reacted to this

As long as your food is okay then you're set tbh! I've been having sneaky treats but as you not going crazy too. We must be very mindful about what we r putting in our mouths so we can adjust during the day. Hope your results are OK x I had to adjust doses on a few medications but all ok 1 ShoppGirl reacted to this
