I know everything you’re saying, but I’m struggling so much to actually do it, and it’s really frustrating. I think we all feel that way sometimes. It sounds like your body was telling you want you needed in that moment and you listened. Also, even if you had eaten everything in your kitchen yesterday, it sill wouldn't be the worst thing. You chalk it up to a bad day and do better the next day. I feel like after surgery, eating more frequently definitely helps me with managing my hunger, eating slower, and not having eyes that are bigger than my stomach. 1 Justarwaxx reacted to this

You only had one meal that was off plan put it in the back of your mind and get right back on track. You are doing so good. It’s possible that your body was just craving something because you needed to eat a little bit more to fuel your exercise that you’ve been increasing. That was one of the questions you plan to ask next week, right? Edited October 17, 2024 by ShoppGirl
Justarwaxx 242 Posted October 20, 2024 @ShoppGirl & @Chatterboxdea Thank you ladies! sigh just counting down to Thursday to meet the doctor and typing out more concerns and questions. Hopefully, I will have more confidence after this and I will be able to live life without worrying about every single thing. 1 Chatterboxdea reacted to this

You don’t have to wait untill Thursday to get reassurance on that one. Remember, I have done this and failed and I promise you it took ALOT more poor choices to gain it back. A big part of my issue was mental though. I believe I mentioned that before. Have you been able to find someone to talk to that can just be a sounding board through all of this. It may help. ShoppGirl 5,003 Posted October 21, 2024 (edited) I have been having issues with my phone that I have literally spent like 20 hours on the phone (mostly on hold waiting for a representative) over the last 3 weeks trying to straighten it out and now they did a ticket and someone is supposed to call me in 5-7 days but he basically implied they did all they can do. I have tried anything and everything I can think of. Gone into the store, then another location, new phone, new carrier and back to the old carrier with the old phone. Nothing is working. BUT, even though I am stressed out to the max I have stayed on plan in terms of diet and kept up with my activity. In the past this entire last three weeks I would have given myself a number of cheat days because “i needed it with all that was going on” but Nope. This time I am not turning to food. In fact I am walking more and doing more YOGA to try and calm myself down which surprisingly helps more than food. Huge win for me!’ Edited October 21, 2024 by ShoppGirl 2 Hiddenroses and Chatterboxdea reacted to this

U guys made me feel better about it.. it's funny how we know everything that we read like on Google or on these forums but yet still need more reassurance. I believe that I definitely need support mentally and yes I have a standby counsellor but I am waiting for my appointment because I think I can get free sessions.. so let's see. If she doesn't give me any sessions then I might schedule some. One session is like 78 USD.. I wonder how much are counselling session there? But it might be worth it to be honest to have a one on one with someone . 2 1 ShoppGirl, Chatterboxdea and Hiddenroses reacted to this

But it might be worth it to be honest to have a one on one with someone . It is funny how we just need to hear things from someone else sometimes (things that we already know). $78 USD is steep Counseling sessions here are pricey too without insurance. With insurance they can vary drastically in price. A friend told me that she gets like 12 sessions a year with a counselor for free as part of her benefits which is pretty great. I’m not sure if that’s through her insurance or something separate her employer just pays for, but most people pay a copay for Mental Health. They also have self help type workbooks that you can do that may help. Someone on here recommended a couple for food addiction a while ago. I wish I could remember what they were. I wonder if you do a thread asking for suggestions for self help ideas if anyone has any ideas. If not, maybe ask your team for suggestions. That or just go for the first appointment and see if they can give you suggestions or just give you lots or homework so you can do sessions less often. Or maybe you could even do some online support groups. That Dr Matthew Weiner has nutritional support on his website pound of cure weight loss .com i think it is. He may have other support groups meetings. Maybe tell your team you would be interested in in person support group meetings or see if they know any other patients that may want to be introduced so you can support one another. Can’t hurt to ask.

If people are paying without insurance it’s usually over $100 for an hour session. 2 ShoppGirl and Justarwaxx reacted to this
Chatterboxdea 202 Posted October 21, 2024 @Justarwaxx how did you get the mermaid graphic/weigh loss measurement that shows up under your posts? 1 ShoppGirl reacted to this

I don’t see the mermaid graphic. Is it because I’m lazy and use the phone? That’s why I forget people’s surgeries too cause I can’t see it unless I got to profiles each time. I really need to just get on the computer. I do know that you have to do that to update some stuff. Probably where that graphic is. It actually let me enter my surgery info finally too, when I used the computer. 1 ShoppGirl reacted to this
