I think that it is hard not to measure ourselves against other people - but our bodies will ultimately decide the rate in which we lose weight. You have had an amazing loss so far, try to Celebrate that and remember you are on the right track x

You are doing great. My doc said as ling as its going in the right direction there is no right amount. I am also losing about 1kg a week and it feels slooooow. But I also measured everything when I started and realized I have lost 2 inches ! So when the weight is slow there is another motivator! Slow and steady…. cutlass6521 127 Posted September 29, 2024 i am on day 134 since my revision from lapband to sleeve revision. everything started out ok. Now, not so much. I have periodic acid reflux (even with presciption meds). extreme fatigue, and I give myself a shot of B12 once a week. Now I have severe dumping syndrome every morning after Breakfast. Doesn't matter if I eat oatmeal or a scrambled egg. The only thing that calms it down is metamucil. My surgeon suggested that I drink a glass of Metamucil when I wake up in the morning prior to coffee or breakfast. This has helped. Now eating is a different story...I feel like that band is still in there. Could it be scar tissue? I eat a small amount and I am almost sick. Severe stomach cramping. I keep wondering if it is dehydration. I don't drink Water or those sickly sweet sugar free hydration drinks. Anyway...I am regretting this surgery every single day. 1 Bypass2Freedom reacted to this

Strangely my husband (no surgery) has had a dumping syndrome daily after breakfast for over a year. We have tried no gluten no lactose no caffeine and it continues. He takes immodium every morning (doctors order) maybe, for you, surgery has awakened some other issue ..

Anything that people feel the need to talk about, or share any struggles/successes? Hope everyone is doing well ❤️ Good morning! Im 143 days into lapband revision to GB and down 41lbs. I had a 3 week plateau. I was not eating enough Protein and was starting to snack. (Death in family , depression, weather is terrible) perfect storm for over eating. So anyway . .. if anyone is struggling my recommendation is to tell your team. They hooked me up with a counselor, im taking some depression meds to het me through this tough time, dietitian gave me some tips, and really supported me. I lost 3 lbs this week!! Hang in there and talk it out. 1 Bypass2Freedom reacted to this
Calli 20 Posted October 13, 2024 5 months into GB (surgery date 5/9/24). Ive lost 44lbs in 5 months and have a goal to loose 50 more. Weight loss has reaaallly slowed down to next to nothing. Thise 3 lbs came back and i lost 1! I have started walking more. I do notice I’m craving sweets. I also notice i don’t seem to have dumping syndrome that many of you talk about so i really don’t fear eating things i shouldn’t. That scares me because i think thats part of the equation with this surgery. Today gonna start concentrating on how do i feel. Am I really hungry or just craving something. 1 Bypass2Freedom reacted to this

Hellojaqs 9 Posted November 30, 2024 I need an overhaul. My weight loss has been so slow but I have been losing inches like crazy, I know it is possible and I see the changes, but it irritates me so bad not seeing the scale move. Maybe I should set some serious NSV to achieve. I have exactly 150 days til my birthday and I think I am gonna give this whole surgery thing an overhaul and see where it takes me. I will be honest, I have been low-key skating buy because I got discouraged right after my first stall..... I refuse to quite and I am gonna give it all I got right now. 1 Bypass2Freedom reacted to this
WarrenInEC 16 Posted December 3, 2024 One tactic is to totally reset. Go back to the liquid and soft diet that you used immediately before and after surgery. Kickstart your weight loss and then slowly reintroduce "normal" foods. 1 Bypass2Freedom reacted to this
