Lori795 2 Posted March 23, 2024 Hello I had my revision to gastric bypass March 20th, 2024. The pain is minimal when moving or sitting. I’ve been able to stop pain meds. What I do feel has me so worried even though I’m pretty sure it’s not anything terrible. Whenever I drink fluids I get a pain in my lower abdomen. Not terrible but I feel it and when I do I get nervous. I have my post op appt next Friday. Should I wait to see if it subsides or do I call the surgeon Monday? TIA for your answers. ShoppGirl 5,004 Posted March 23, 2024 (edited) I wish I could help you. I had sleeve and did not have much pain at all. Mh abs were sore like I did crunches. As I am reading this though I am thinking my post op if I do decide to do conversion to SADI is going to be extra confusing because I won’t really have many people to ask if I have a concern like yours. And I am a super anxious person with medical stuff to begin with so that’s not going to be a good combo . I may Just ask them to keep me an extra day so I know what pain is okay before I go. BeanitoDiego 153 Posted March 24, 2024 Right after my surgery, I found cold or cool liquids borderline painful to ingest, so I took in liquids that were either warm or room temperature. Have you tried changing that variable? 1 summerseeker reacted to this
Lori795 2 Posted March 24, 2024 I have only drank room temp liquids. It is less painful today but I still feel it.
ShoppGirl 5,004 Posted March 24, 2024 If it feels like it’s not right to you it couldn’t hurt to call and run it past the surgeon. I know alot of us don’t want to be annoying or a bother but they are getting paid and awful lot for the surgery and post op care is part of that service you are paying for. They should be able to tell you what to watch for. 1 BabySpoons reacted to this
