that's my mine to have that 1 slice and workout a extra 20 min. that night has long as I burn more then I comsume you will be fine.

to shortgal....you and i are feeling the same things!! ....but look at the list of what you did have.... before banding....did you eat so little?? i bet not!! you should be proud....you had a lil treat....lil treats wont kill us....and i for one..... had the lap band to help me eat less....if i do that...i'm successful..congrats at almost being under 200......gl to you!!! merry christmas..and be proud of ur choices..i think you did great!!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I realize I have entered into the "bandster hell' time period. We don;t have restriction yet and realize we can eat, not suffer from it with PB's or getting stuck.

My willpower was getting me through until now but most of my willpower walked out the door last night.

I have still eaten reasonably well today. Some leftovers from yesterday. One meatball, three pieces of ziti and one bowl of Soup with a few small noodles and veggies in it.

You're right tho' BEFORE the band and with this much leftover food in the house for the holidays, I would have gone out of control. We gave a lot of the leftovers to my son before he left to go home.

I just wasn;t thinking of food every minute before and now I feel so hungry I can't think of anything else. :faint:

I plan to wait until about 3:30 or 4 ( or honestly as long as I can) and have an Atkins Protein shake. First I will have a Special K Protein Water.

I also cannot wait until my next fill! I need help! :help:

I used to work with a very skinny woman who had the ability to eat one "rectangle" of a Hershey bar and put away the rest of it. I would regard her with total and utter amazement. I was not born with that ability, unfortunately! LOL!

You know what??? I can do that now! Didn't used to be able to do it but I can now. With sugar I can, with other carbs it's a no-go! HA!

Insubordination:

My mother (who was eating a whole brownie at the time) and I looked at each other and thought, "Aaaaah, that's why we're fat and they're not." I'm sure they enjoyed their shared brownie much more than anyone ever did with a tray of them in one sitting.

Yeah, it takes getting used to in order to get a taste of something vs. eating 4 of them. ;) I was laughing to myself yesterday at the grocery store. I saw one of those decorated 12" Cookies the size of an entire cake. I was thinking that a year ago, that was A cookie. ONE cookie. Heh...

:omg:one slice of cheesecake can set be back a extra 40 min of working out I will stick to 1 slice of yellow cake .

HA! Sorry, this made me laugh! I think exactly the same way you do. I relate all too well!

This kind of thinking keeps me from eating those 12" frosted Cookies the size of a cake!

I had it tonight. I had a small piece of lemony pound cake moistened with milk and it was tremendously good!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was worth the wait. I won't do it too often but I can assure you I will enjoy it when I do have it.
