Your AT GOAL Wants

Recommended Posts

I have a running list. At times I have been able to cross things off. I'm writing it again since I am considering the LB.

What are some of yours? Here are some of mine:

-Be able to wear all of my small necklasces and bracelets and rings again.

(18' is too snug now and my rings.....not worn for a long time)

-wearing skirts

-wearing shorts and liking it

-wearing my bikinis again ( I HATED my body in them then....I long for them now)

-wear a smaller sized shoe. I went from a 71/2 -91/2

-feel sexy confidence when wearing my "sexy" undies...

-get that muscle line in my legs again..I loved that

-shop in a non X store.

-Be able to run again with my husband and not feel like I am dying.

- have my feet not ache after a days work.

- have the backpain subside a bit

Not dread the horrible middle seat on an airplane

Be more confident at work and doing public speaking

Feel sexy

Have more energy

Not have my thighs rub together!

Hopefully reduce the constant pain in my ankle from a bad break years ago

And, hopefully prevent said ankle from needing to be fused in 10 years

-Being able to walk up the 6 flights of stairs at my work instead of taking the elevator

-Not having to be embarassed about my weight if I want to do something active (like zip lining, scuba diving, bungee jumping, etc)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
