NickelChip 1,310 Posted January 2, 2024 After having my surgery cancelled last month due to the abrupt closure of my hospital's bariatric practice, I have a new date at another hospital in the area and can hardly wait for the time to fly by. I'm scheduled for gastric bypass on February 21. Any other February peeps out there? 4 5 3 BeanitoDiego, barybabe, Bariover54 and 9 others reacted to this

NickelChip 1,310 Posted January 7, 2024 What does your pre-op diet look like? Mine will be 2 weeks of full liquid, so basically Protein Shakes, Water or sugar free flavored water, Decaf coffee and tea, sugar free Jello and pudding, sugar free popsicles, broth, skim milk, Greek yogurt, unsweetened applesauce, and cream of Tomato Soup. I think she said up to 5 shakes per day but I need to clarify at my final dietician appointment on Feb 1. Not gonna lie, I am not looking forward to this part. My previous clinic only did a 2-day liquid diet. But I can survive! 2 BeanitoDiego and Bariover54 reacted to this
ToucanSam 17 Posted January 7, 2024 Surprisingly, my surgeon does not require a pre-op diet! Only restriction is we can't weigh more on surgery day as we did on initial weigh in. 1 1 NickelChip and Bariover54 reacted to this
Wiebke 3 Posted January 7, 2024 My operation date is February 1, I'm very excited. It took me so long to make the decision and then again it took so long to get the date. My pre-op-diet seems to be the same as NickelChips. 3 Bariover54, NickelChip and Doris27 reacted to this

Bariover54 18 Posted January 12, 2024 I just got my surgery date, February 6th! I’m having my 16 year old lab band taken out and I’m doing a bypass. I live in South Florida, you guys going to Mexico or abroad are so brave! 3 pamela, NickelChip and barybabe reacted to this

It’s going to be a long hard 2 weeks for me. 1 NickelChip reacted to this
