Fat Free Salad Dressing for the Pre-op?

Recommended Posts

I could use soy sauce and fish sauce and made the most of it with Chinese and Thai vegetable dishes. I had 3 weeks of milk and non root vegetables. I needed to be creative. Aged balsamic vinegar was also a godsend. I had it on salads and roasted vegetables.

I've recently started squeezing one fresh lemon for my salad and adding a dash of pink salt and several shakes of a Tuscan herb blend. I'm not missing the dressing, and I appreciate I can use enough lemon juice to actually coat all my veggies. The herb blend really delivers on flavor. Since I'm pre-op, my salads are pretty massive, and 31g of dressing for a bowl the size of a serving bowl is laughable.

Skinny Girl makes some really good Salad Dressing. I think it's like 5 calories for 2 tablespoons. The balsamic and raspberry vinaigrette are my favorites.

Hello. I am trying to prep in advance of my liquid diet and understand that I can have fat free Salad Dressing. Which ones have you all used that are best? And has anyone tried making their own? Wondering if I can use Soy Sauce on veggies since it has no fat or carbs. Thanks!

I highly recommend G. Hughs brands..low cal, no sugar low carb, I personally love their thai chili dipping sauce (if you find it buy several it sells off the shelf quick), teriyaki and pineapple ginger sauces taste great as well! Their yum yum sauce is a huge seller, I think its #1.

As far as soy sauce, I personally wouldn't - too much sodium. Instead try something like Braggs liquid aminos, gluten free or coconut aminos they taste just like soy sauce or as Nicolechip said lemon with seasonings! I've also used Greek yogurt with season packets like ranch...
