Jeanne. 2 Posted August 18, 2023 I know everyone’s journey is different but how are you feeling postop surgery? How is eating & drinking going for you?
KathyLev 285 Posted August 18, 2023 Hi Jeanne I'm 3 months out from surgery and everything is going great. I'm one of the lucky ones - not a single problem . I just had my first bloodwork done since surgery and my numbers were perfect. I'm building up stamina for walking ,am less out of breath and hardly sweating at all. My joints are getting less painful and stronger every day. Like so many people before me have said... "I wish I would have done this sooner" (I was 68 when I had the sleeve done ) I did my first closet clean out - got rid of my big clothes and all my new clothes are 2 sizes smaller ! I'm just loving every day of this new lifestyle !!! Eating healthy and drinking feels so natural - no problems at all. It's my 2nd and only chance to get this right ! I see you're pre-op .... you'll do great ! How far along are you in the program ? 3 JonBlue, BabySpoons and Arabesque reacted to this
Jeanne. 2 Posted August 18, 2023 I actually had the sleeve done on March 20th this year and for the most part I’m doing great! Believe it or not I’ve had seizures since brain surgery in 2009 & have only had 2 since surgery! My heart is doing great, I’ve lost 72 lbs so far. Still not very hungry and some days having trouble getting in enough Protein. No worries tho because I know it’s a process and a daily achievement and I’m feeling great! Lots of new energy, new clothes I had bought long before surgery and can finally wear plus I’ve been to the free boutique in Gainesville and donated a bunch of clothes! Even got a couple of items but they didn’t have much out at the time I went. I’m going to go back there and check it out again because I’m down a few sizes now 😊 loving life 💗 2 BabySpoons and KathyLev reacted to this
KathyLev 285 Posted August 18, 2023 That's fantastic news !!! 72 pounds is unbelievable !!! I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that those seizures will go away for good now that you had the surgery As many times as I read the success stories here...I'm still amazed at how many lives were actually saved by this procedure. We're a lucky bunch ! 1 BabySpoons reacted to this
