MsTeeTee 72 Posted July 29, 2023 So I’m having a craving for Peanut Butter. One of my go to before pre op diet because I was cutting back my ice cream intake. But in general I’m in love with peanut butter. And I just want a scoop. Lol my mouth is watering just typing about it. Lol Help please!
CarmenG 151 Posted July 29, 2023 I didn't try Peanut Butter until after my surgery, during my pureed foods phase. But when I did, OMG, it hit my stomach hard. It wasn't painful, but man, it sat real heavy and for a very long time. Usually, the literature with which they send you home will give you examples of foods that are allowed during each post-op food phases or sample menus. The best thing, IMO, is to stick to your food phases plan and/or to reach out to your nutritionist or medical team. 1 SleeveToBypass2023 reacted to this
MsTeeTee 72 Posted July 29, 2023 Oh no. Not my Peanut Butter. I’m not going to ask I know what they will say. Lol I’m just in denial. I really want peanut butter. The rest of the other food smells in the house don’t bother me at all surprisingly. I’m just craving peanut butter. Lol

sleevedinthe817 32 Posted July 29, 2023 I ended up buying a big tub of PB2 powder from costco and I mix it into my Protein Shakes. I’ve also added it to my yogurt and cream of wheat. Sometimes I’ll use regular Peanut Butter, but it isn’t the super thick kind. It’s the Kirkland brand that is a little thinner and I haven’t had any issues. 1 1 catwoman7 and MsTeeTee reacted to this
MsTeeTee 72 Posted July 29, 2023 Oh yeah! A Peanut Butter Protein Shake. Omg thank you! I have a tub of peanut butter powder in the pantry. I will make one tomorrow for Breakfast. Thanks for the reminder. 2 SleeveToBypass2023 and CarmenG reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted July 29, 2023 I used powdered Peanut Butter, too (mixed it into things like chocolate Protein shakes). PB2 and/or PBFit - in fact, I still have some and use it occasionally. 1 MsTeeTee reacted to this
KathyLev 285 Posted July 29, 2023 I'm a Peanut Butter nut ( pun intended LOL ) I buy peanut butter extract and peanut butter flavored S.F. Syrup and peanut butter powder. summerseeker 2,236 Posted July 29, 2023 My surgeon did not agree with Protein Shakes and had me on skimmed milk. Pre and post surgery. I put unsweetened Peanut Butter in my blender with half a banana and milk as a milk shake. BTW, UK milkshakes come with out ice cream and whipped cream. Loads of Protein, inexpensive and delicious. 1 MsTeeTee reacted to this

Due to my glucose being unstable I was told by my doctor to drink Water diluted Protein Shakes during my liquid phase. I am a type 2 diabetic and my glucose was doing a roller coaster for two days. 110 to 70 to 40 and under in less than 30 minutes. I definitely like your recipe but I’m not allowed to have any blended drinks with added stuff like fruits. No smoothies. Just Protein shakes. but thanks for the recipe! I will definitely ask if I can do it later on in another phase. 1 summerseeker reacted to this
