Protein cookie dough-it’s sooo good!!!

Recommended Posts

I used dark chocolate in mine to limit the sugar. And also used sugar free maple Syrup. My flour was carbalose flour. My Protein only has 3g sugar a serving and 110 calories, so this ended up being a great snack to leave in the fridge.

Cookie dough recipe
16oz container of cottage cheese
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla

2 cups almond flour(or preferred flour)
1/2-2/3 cup Protein Powder of choice
1 cup chocolate chips

Blend the cottage cheese, syrup and vanilla till it looks like yogurt, then mix in the rest. Adjust to taste.

OMG I am not even looking at that recipe again. Looks amazing and I had such a sweet tooth once upon a time! 😂

That is the plus, it fills the sweet tooth, but it's not bad.

Oh OK if you're just a few weeks out from your surgery then I would not recommend this recipe. Much better to prepare healthy food from scratch and for that to be the mainstay of your diet forever.

Next year and forever after definitely you can build this sort of stuff in as an occasional treat!

This is just cottage cheese and protein... so it's got all the things we need and nothing bad in it. It tastes good enough to eat with out adding chips, and there's a lot of yogurts that are worse for you.

Some processed stuff too though Suzi. I found it helpful to avoid those foods in the weeks and months after my op.

And sweet stuff was a real trigger early on - almost derailed me a few times.

Yeah totally agree too - some yoghurts will have more sugar and stuff in them whilst presenting themselves as healthy.

Wasn't dissing your recipe - as I said, it looks really fab. My comments were more for Kathy who seems to be early post surgery, and just to share my experience.

I just started regular food now , Spinoza. What a great change !!!! I just made this today --- really filling and good ! I had to leave out the chocolate chips though .I can't keep them in the house , they're my kriptonite. :( They wouldn't have made it into the recipe. LOL

I am not a huge sweets person, I made it and just have it in the fridge for a little spoonful here and there. I did it with chocolate Protein, and i definitely was good skipping the chips.
