sleevedinthe817 32 Posted July 11, 2023 Mine has been elevated after my last two surgeries (c-section and sleeve) as well. I don’t know if it’s the trauma the body has gone through or what, but it seems to slowly decrease with time. I ended up getting back on BP medicine temporarily because it felt a little too high for my liking. It’s sitting pretty normal now and I’m hoping it’ll continue going down enough that I can stop the meds.
BabySpoons 617 Posted July 11, 2023 My BP shot up day 2 after surgery. I was worried but the nurses told me that it was a normal reaction following WLS. It stayed elevated for a couple weeks. Never dangerously high, then normalized. It's one of the medications I hope to be off of one day. Also make sure you are staying hydrated. BP rises when dehydrated. Contact your doctor if it doesn't come down. GL
