shawn524 2 Posted July 10, 2023 (edited) Hello All, My bypass was 1/13/23. Since thenm I'be lost 76lbs. Recently i've been suffering with very low energy. I'm taking my Multivitamin as i should but all i want to do is rest and or sleep. Any physical exercise past rest makes me extremely tired and i just want to rest. Is this "normal"? 6 months out i did'nt expect to have this issue. Should i Just be more patient with my body? Edited July 10, 2023 by shawn524
toodlerue 452 Posted July 10, 2023 Try using an electrolyte drink like Drip Drops or Liquid IV. I was feeling this way & a naturopath suggested that for me. She said I looked & felt “punnie” (sorry don’t know how to spell that). Using one stick of Drip Drops a day has made such a difference for me! 1 shawn524 reacted to this

Arabesque 7,417 Posted July 11, 2023 I would have an electrolyte drink too. I used Hydralyte. (It was pretty sweet for me so I doubled the Water I added to make it up.) Would take a bottle with me to work or on busy days to give m a boost. I still have some on hand just in case. 1 shawn524 reacted to this
RickM 1,752 Posted July 11, 2023 It sounds like something is out of balance to be that lethargic at six months - most tend toward the energizer bunny side of things with a big chunk of weight off. Have you had labs done recently (six months would be a typical time for most programs)? Low Iron or B12 are common bypass problems, which is why they usually recommend extra, but the recommendations tend to be an average and may not be enough for everyone (while being too much for others.) I would certainly check in with the surgeon or RD on this. 1 shawn524 reacted to this
