Paulax 8 Posted December 20, 2007 IS the port repositioned for a Tummy Tuck? Does it protrude more after a tummy tuck? Susan Good question. My port is just down from between my breasts. I can't imagine that it will need repositioning. I know some ports are placed down around the bellybutton. So ya, good question.
losingjusme 12 Posted December 20, 2007 just called inamed (errr allergan), a LP port is $595...
Chickie 15 Posted December 20, 2007 My wasn't changed or repositioned during my TT, and it doesn't protrude at all.
kareyquilts 1 Posted December 22, 2007 I suppose the cost of the port is just the beginning, since there would be charges from the surgeon, additional OR time, etc. I've got an appointment with my LB doc to ask questions about the port and my TT. I'l let you know what I find out.
JulieNYC 4 Posted December 22, 2007 Mine protruded substantially (right side north of belly button), so I had the low profile installed with my TT revision.
soozan 0 Posted December 23, 2007 Thanks all. Anyone have pics of their belly...port showing or not? My aunt had a port a cath and it was more on the surface above her breast. I read that many are below the breast and some over the belly button. I would love to see..... Thanks again, so much. DH had a lot of questions and I felt that after reading a lot of the forum I could answer him better!! Susan
Chickie 15 Posted December 23, 2007 Mine is to the right, about an inch or so above my belly button. I can't see it, I can feel it without any trouble though.

I'm still here 0 Posted December 23, 2007 Chickie ~ Would you mind sharing your specifics about the TT? Your tummy looks awesome! How much did you lose before TT? Etc. Anything that you don't mind sharing I'd love to read. I am really considering this procedure. Thanks, Lynn
JulieNYC 4 Posted December 23, 2007 Here's an example of how you could see my port through clothes until I had the LP placed....
kareyquilts 1 Posted December 23, 2007 Julie: Thanks for the pix. I can see the port. Very interesting. Was it uncomfortable? You can't see mine sticking out, but I can feel it and sometimes it's uncomfortable if I'm standing for long periods. I can feel it right below the skin and it's a little owie to the touch. The port also seems to have moved up from the original position which was right near my belly button. It's now about 3-4 inches above it. Is that normal or do you think it may have come loose?
