I can add 6 mths and a year if you’re still collecting info then. Disregard if partial info messes you up. Thanks! And no, i'll include whatever info i can get, so yeah add more info as you get it and i'll update as we go along. Ideally, i'd like to get a sample size of at least 100 subjects, so it may take a while. But so far we've already got 20 in three days, so keep em coming people! Thanks everyone (for participating AND giving me something to do with my time! 😂) Edited July 5, 2023 by ms.sss 2 GreenTealael and PRRNThickChick reacted to this

hills&valleys 130 Posted July 5, 2023 This is a great idea but would love to see one more category added. The different bariatric procedures can greatly effect the rate of loss due to levels of restriction, absorption, etc. 1. Basics: GENDER, AGE (at time of surgery) , HEIGHT - F, 62, 5'5" 2. Total Weight lost in the 6 months BEFORE surgery (if any) - 6.5 LBS 3. Weight on DAY OF SURGERY. - 202.5 LBS 4. Weight at 1 MONTH POST surgery - 187.4 LBS 5. Weight at 3 MONTHs POST surgery - 170.8 LBS 6. Weight at 6 MONTHs POST surgery - TBD 7. Weight at 12 MONTHs POST surgery - TBD I had my VSG surgery on 3/3/23 have just hit my 4 month post-op. I currently weigh 162.4 for a total loss of 40.1 LBS in 4 months. 1 ms.sss reacted to this

However, Gastric Bypass has proven consistent results over decades of research. Gastric Bypass patients see rapid weight loss in the first six months and ultimate loss of 60-80% of excess weight, while Gastric Sleeve patients encounter a slower rate of loss but still experience a 60-70% loss of excess weight." The above quotation cites averages but 100% loss of excess weight is achievable with all WLS procedures depending on the health and dedication of the patient. I can't modify my original post to request this info, so i'll look up each person's profile and input what it says the type of surgery they had. Not everyone fills this in, so we'll do with what info we have. Also, for those with revisions, only their latest surgery will be noted as it will start to get hairy if i have to cross-reference exactly WHEN they had thier revision... 2 1 learn2cook, Midwest Grateful and hills&valleys reacted to this
