ardmcarver 1 Posted July 21, 2023 I’m a sleever, I had it done 7 years ago and have been able to keep most of it off…I gained 30lbs after my 5th year but with the help of these Vitamins and with exercise I’ve been able to take off 25lbs and have remained here… I’m very comfortable at my 130lb weight 🥰 1 NCL04321 reacted to this
MeNotYou 13 Posted July 22, 2023 Hi Everyone 👋 Im 57 and just got the call for my surgery date. AUGUST 14!!! 13 days of full fluids a d 1 day of clear fluids and then the BIG day. Anyone here from Canada?
Jeffrey131 6 Posted August 14, 2023 I'm 51 and just got my surgery date last week - Sept 11th. I've lost just at 30 pounds pre-surgery so far. Getting excited that it is coming up, also a little nervous - feeling like I need to make sure I get a few last "solids" I like in before the months of liquid and puree. I feel like I am stagnating right before my surgery, I'm hoping that is not the case, as I have been having very little trouble motivating myself, so far. I think it's more nerves than anything. So far, I have chosen not to tell anyone outside of my household. I am planning to tell my in-laws in the next week. Not sure if I'll talk to anyone else about it before it's done. 1 NCL04321 reacted to this

Good luck on your surgery and journey to a new better you! As far as telling people, i told everybody!! Some people are not that open though. Tell whoever you wish and if you dont want to tell others and they ask you about your weight loss after surgery just tell them you are eating less and watching what you eat.... that is the truth after all right?! I wish you much success on your journey!

I wish you much success on your journey! Last week, after I spoke to my in-laws, I told a few of my close colleagues at work. I knew they would be supportive, but I didn't expect them all to say they were proud of me and excited for me! Less than a week to go!!! 1 Arabesque reacted to this

Shotputqueen 44 Posted September 19, 2023 I just turned 60 and am scheduled for VSG on October 2nd. My BMI is 40, so I'm expecting a slower rate of weight loss. Maybe I'll be surprised and will lose weight faster than I expect.

As long as the scale is going down, it doesn't matter how quickly we lose the weight! 1 Arabesque reacted to this

I am 53, and when I had my gastric sleeve in April, my BMI was 42, and 5 months later my BMI is 32. Just follow your doctor's instructions and be patient. We're rooting for you! 1 NCL04321 reacted to this
CarolineLittle 92 Posted September 23, 2023 Hey all. I'm about 4.5 months out from being sleeved at 50 (now 51)and doing really well. I'm down 32.7 kilograms (72 pounds). My BMI is down from 67 to just under 53 and I've lost 21% of my total weight. I'm tolerating all foods fine although rice does sit a bit h3avy. I rarely have it so not a big deal. Hitting Protein goals with ease, need to be better with fluids. I can't wait to see where this journey continues to take me! 1 1 Arabesque and NCL04321 reacted to this
