Roller Coasters After VSG

So I got my VSG on 3/28. My birthday is 5/7 and my friend wants to take me to an amusement park (I LOVE roller coasters) but that is about 3-2 days short of me being 6 weeks post op. It is a long way to go if I won't be able to ride any rides. I REALLY want to go and will obviously listen to my body but is it a bad idea to try to go? If I start with milder rides and make sure I snack and stay hydrated do you all think I could/should go?

I don't think it would be a terrible idea to try. Best answer I got is to potentially call your surgeon's office and ask what they say specifically regarding your progress and medical status.

I went at about 5 weeks, I made sure to carry Water and sugar free Gatorade. I had no issues, but listen to your body.

Oh no way would I have been fit for rollercoasters 6 weeks post surgery. But we are all different and recover differently! How do you feel now? Does it feel doable based on your current progress OP?
